Situated amongst the foothills of the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto Mountains, Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon boasts 36 holes of scenic championship golf. The two courses, the Champions and the Legends, are some of the area's most popular. The older Champions Course is host to the PGA Tour Q-School and it is a Nationwide Tour Qualifier. It is such a popular tournament location that it is known as the "home of the Southern California PGA." The Champions is a challenging but playable layout with tight fairways and numerous steep-lipped bunkers strategically placed throughout. There is also thick, treacherous rough that will swallow any errant shots. Also included in your tee time is unlimited use of the practice facilities, which include an all-grass driving range as well as chipping and putting greens.

Beautiful Course, Beautiful layout

1015 GolfNow tee time, solo. From registering, to the starter, to the golf cart lady, to playing 18 holes under 3 hours was fantastic. Everyone was soooo nice to me. I really appreciated their customer service skills. Ill definitely be back. Hot deal to boot. LFG

nice conditions this summer. bunkers the same :))

course has been playing nice all summer. they seemed to be overwatering parts of the course in recent days. it is the middle of the summer. had a couple of drives land in casual water in the middle of the fairway. greens are rolling nice. and the bunkers are still the same. its not even worth trying in almost every greenside bunker.

all in all highly recommend. best conditions ive played in here for the last 3-4 years.

Pace of Game

The marshal was going based off the computer screen from the cart and not based off how flow of the groups were going. If we were to keep pace of the computer we would be teeing off onto the heads of the group in front of us.

Decent enough, Not worth coming back

Played here today and immeadietly noticed from going to the short game area to warm up, that the bunkers here are AWFUL. Theres rocks in the bunkers and its not sand its some type of clay. That on its own was alright but all the bunkers on the course were way worse. They had weeds growing in them, and 90% of them were flooded and muddy. We either just took our balls out if the whole thing was flooded or played from a really akward lie. Other than that the layout was challenging and fun from the blue tees. One thing im not a fan of is the native growth surrounding the course. Dealing with it is honestly a skill issue but ive played courses in similar areas and hit worse shots than i did today and walked away with my ball. Greens were amazing and fairways were a tad bit soggy. Pace of play was slow but it was a decent course. Drove an hour out to beaumont to play it so for me definetly not worth a second play, maybe the legends course but definetly not the champions course.

Over booked.

This was a great place to play back in 2010. The course upkeep is OK. We decided to play at 239 to take advantage of the half-off price. I thought playing later in the day we could have a steady pace. By 330, we were behind 20 min. There were multiple groups on each individual hole. By the the back nine, we were waiting 10-15 min to tee off. This place is all about making money. They over book not caring about the customer. It shouldn't take 6 hours to golf 18 holes.

Rocks

Rocks on all the bunkers and water and it’ll mess up your club pretty bad if you try too hit out of them… and also since there is rocks people will shoot them all over the green you have too pick up like 20 pebbles every putt so they don’t get in the way…pace of play was slow cause people were hitting it 20 yards every time in groups of 4

Otherwise great course

Decent Course

Bunkers are rock hard, some fairways are messy. Its a good course for the afternoon price point. Nothing special, nothing horrible. Mind you it is June and thats the worst time of the year for course conditions. So take it for whats its worth.

NO SAND TRAPS JUST DIRT

Not sure what’s going on in golf today, No one will maintain a course .

Played this course many times, Greens are great, Fairways for the most part are good. The Traps and Horrible, Either mud or dirt Hard as a rock racked mud, Other than the greens and fairways everything else is ignored, there hasn’t been a weedwacker in years. That being said, stay in the fairway or the greens and you will love it.

A Wonderful Treat

I was really impressed with the staff, practice facility, and the course conditions.

FLAT grass driving range, a dedicated chipping bunker with a bunker and green you can practice a good number of shots on, and two large putting green.

The layout of the course was very enjoyable. It provides plenty for players of all skill levels. Pace of play is what you expect of weekend golf. Not fast but faster than it feels, and you can't blame the people in front of you cause the group in front of them is the problem.

Staff were incredible at every level. Clubhouse was very quick and made sure you knew what to do prior to the round. Cart/range Crew were very professional and timely. The starter for that day was cheerful and kept people on time. The cart girl wasn't a once a 9-holes type you usually see on other courses. I'd say we saw her around 5 times during the round, checking in to see if we needed a refresh or food.

Wonderful course and I look forward to playing here more frequently.
