About
Situated amongst the foothills of the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto Mountains, Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon boasts 36 holes of scenic championship golf. The two courses, the Champions and the Legends, are some of the area's most popular. The older Champions Course is host to the PGA Tour Q-School and it is a Nationwide Tour Qualifier. It is such a popular tournament location that it is known as the "home of the Southern California PGA." The Champions is a challenging but playable layout with tight fairways and numerous steep-lipped bunkers strategically placed throughout. There is also thick, treacherous rough that will swallow any errant shots. Also included in your tee time is unlimited use of the practice facilities, which include an all-grass driving range as well as chipping and putting greens.

So much potential
Played the Legend course, it’s a great layout, lots of blind shots from the tee and approaches to the green. Heavily bunkered. The issue is lack of maintenance from tee box thru the green. The bunkers are a mix of sand and clay. Use your putter for any hope. Not worth the drive even at $50. However, the potential is enormous

Morongo Golf Course
They need to update their statements about the Golf Course, the restaurant is not open all week long, they haven't held any tournaments of any caliber for years, they haven't repaired any of the bridges washed out years ago, the grass around the greens isn't maintained compared to other courses like Oak Valley, The second Par 3 on Champions is a disgrace to play. Why they can't plant grass on the fairway shows just how little they've done to bring this course up to standards. Don't even get me started on Legends. Soboba gold course is 10X's better than the Morongo course. Don't waste your time if you haven't ever played here. For 5 years they haven't added sand to the bunkers. Fix the course's and serve your community. Spend some money on it. They should of never sold it to the Tribe. Seems like all they wanted were the water rights.
Champion course
The course was in great shape the greens were fast the sand was soft and in good shape overall it was a good day but it took 5 hours to play no Marshall on the course but I will play again

When are they going to put sand in the sandtraps
They should either take out the sand traps or put sand in them. They also need to improve the course, the Morongo tribe could really learn from the Soboba Indians on how to improve and bring this course up to a higher standard. They could put in more water features with a river that actually runs through the course. If they improved the courses and brought in some pros they could get some tournaments again.

They did tell us they have tournaments before when we booking, when we got there, they tell TT will delay 50 minutes 🤥🤥

This is for Legends Course. They don’t want rating of the Legends Course as it is in awful condition-literally a COW PASTURE for fairways!
They need to level , sand and overseed the fairways. Greens okay.

Employees very unfriendly
Went to go play on Tuesday at champions and we were told they were full, even though no one was in front of us or behind us. It was 3:30 and they just don't want to work. They don't want to even serve food or drinks anymore. Last time I'll get treated like this and not give them a bad review.

Course in decent shape after large storms
This course is always challenging- but even more so because of recent heavy rain storms. They have done a good job of making the course playable again.
A few of the greens need some work- but overall a very nice facility to play at.

Champions/Legends
I would expect this golf course to be an emasculate conditions. Due to no over-seed the course plays fine just not as pleasing to the eye. Too many ball marks on the green due too many players not fixing. Overall. the course is fine and I recommend. The driving. range needs to be rolled and seeded.

Slow Pace of Play
Played here on numerous occasions and every time the pace of play is terrible. Weekends are basically unplayable and weekdays aren't that much better. A real shame because the course is really fun to play, but when you spend 5+ hours to finish 18 it takes the fun right out of it.

Cool Day but super Fun
We played in 46 degree windy conditions but course was in great shape. Challenging narrower fairways and complex approach and greens. Still talking about the round 24 hrs later.
