About
Situated amongst the foothills of the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto Mountains, Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon boasts 36 holes of scenic championship golf. The two courses, the Champions and the Legends, are some of the area's most popular. The older Champions Course is host to the PGA Tour Q-School and it is a Nationwide Tour Qualifier. It is such a popular tournament location that it is known as the "home of the Southern California PGA." The Champions is a challenging but playable layout with tight fairways and numerous steep-lipped bunkers strategically placed throughout. There is also thick, treacherous rough that will swallow any errant shots. Also included in your tee time is unlimited use of the practice facilities, which include an all-grass driving range as well as chipping and putting greens.

Way too tough for amateurs
Fairways were rather poor for the money. Greens were good. A course designed for professionals; we wanted to play LEGENDS, but for some reason, not explained, you had closed it.

course was great
I was playing with my 4 friends and we love the course maintained well and need challege but it was very windy so we are going to try other day again.

This course is unplayable. The course itself is completely trashed and is left un managed.
The proshop is unresponsive and could care less if you enjoy your time. Clearly they are letting the course fail to eventually build homes and it’s very sad for such a good layout. The pace of play was awful. Took us more than 5 hours to complete a round. The bunkers were almost as hard as the cart paths. Huge bald spots in the middle of the fairways.
The owner of this course has nerve to even charge for it. The bar at the pro shop closes at 4 to better demonstrate how much the golfers matter.

Cold and Windy
I played with my Girl and it was cold and windy. Should have stayed home. 50mph winds moved putts on the greens and made drives balloon and travel on 50 yards in front of me when I normally hit it 250. It was a struggle but the course was in good shape and the pace of play was good. Hate that they send singles out who always want to jump in front of you and end up making you wait.

Windy and cold
Play the morongo golf course and it was very windy and cold. The greens were fast the fairways were firm but the wind was howling at 30 and 40 and 50 mph balls were ballooning and going straight in the air 100 yards then falling right back down darn near at your own feet with a driver. Plus we're being blown off line even though they're only two and three feet. Otherwise this is a great course with two tracks with lots of danger lots of bunkers very little water in play. The restaurant was not open which was a bummer. With the staff and the starters were very nice and accommodating. I'm a 14 handicap and I managed to keep it under 90 in very tough conditions.

Neglected course
Very disappointing from start to finish. Courses are in rough shape. Too many good options in the valley for just a bit more money. Cart girl and the starter were awesome.

A challenging and beautiful golf course.
Almost everything was good, but it took 6 hours to finish all 18 holes.

Good condition
Had an early tee time so we were able to play in about 4 hours so that was nice. Wind was up so that made things tough. Greens were in good shape.

Tough course in good shape
For just reopening the course was in good condition with the greens in excellent shape quite fast and lots of undulations nice layout with a few really difficult holes a nice place to play

Not what it used to be
Greens were in good shape, a little slow but it was the afternoon. The pace of play was the issue. No rangers or marshalls were monitoring the course. Had a single join our 3some at the turn and he said he had called the pro shop to send someone out and he never saw anyone. There was apar 3 that had a group on the green and two groups waiting to tee off. Was like that all day.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Bunkers need sand.
Bunkers are rock hard mud. Stay out of them and you will be fine otherwise take a double bogey and move on.

What happen?
Greens and fairways were ok. I could not believe how poorly the bunkers were . There were weeds found in various bunkers throughout the legends course.
I take pride in recognizing this course as home and look forward in playing here. Price is normally not an issue because I believe you get what you pay for, but this course resembled something completely different.
Although I would still recommend this course and will continue to play there, I’m a little disappointed.
