Slow and needs work
Course was in poor condition. Some greens on the back were in better shape. But fairways and tee boxes were awful.
This course needs work
I feel like we wasted our Golf Now gift cards in this course. The course was so so dry. They are also building more homes so some homes were negatively impacted as were the cart paths. We won’t be playing this course again.
Good greens, tees. Fairways need some work
We enjoyed our day. No issues,
Will do it again for sure.
First Visit to Indian River Reserve Golf Club
First visit to IR Preserve Golf Club was not a memorable one. I realize that the course has been affected by the recent freeze in Florida, but the poor fairways was probably there before the freeze in my opinion and was in poor condition. Greens were good and layout was very pretty. The golf course could have lots of potential if some more money and resources was pumped into the course. My last comment would be that the course could invest in placing garbage bins at every tee box. Very sad to see so much garbage in the woods and bushes along the tee boxes and greens. I cannot ever remember seeing so many beer cans and trash in any one golf course. I was confused at times if I was playing golf or visiting my nearest land fill. Clean up the trash, put garbage cans in and enforce to your visitors to not litter. Very Sad!!!
What could be
This layout is one if not the best I’ve played here in Florida but the course conditions are pretty sad. They clearly are trying and with all the construction of new home around it I suspect they will improve. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if someday this is a course we say we used to play before it either went under, or is so exclusive that it’s no longer open to the public. Time will tell but we all agreed that even though it’s over an hour away we will be back. If you want to see how good you really are on a tough track give it a try.
Very Poor Conditions
I know we had a freeze, which turns grass brown, and I get that. But the conditions of the course are terrible and from the looks of it were that way before the freeze. They did have nice green rye on most of the tees, but the fairways were terrible. The greens were so-so but still need a lot of work. I would not play here again until I am sure that much improvement has occurred. This used to be a great course, but unfortunately has gone to ...... Management needs to put money into the course and not their pocikets..
The course needs someone to give it some love
The greens and tee boxes are ok. The rest of the course is pretty rough conditions. The cart paths are in terrible condition.
Ugh
Fairways are cow pastures, cart paths destroyed my back, massive construction going on. Place is beat up bad.
Always a good day at Indian River
When Laurie is there at the Pro Shop to greet us you know it will be a great day at the course.
Preserve? LOL
Indian River Preserve is hardly a preserve. They have already and are still in the process of cutting down thousands and thousands of trees. It's really sad. The place was truly a beautiful Florida forest and is now a barren landscape that feels like a desert. There are hardly any trees left around the houses and course.
The course is in pretty rough shape, but the greens and tees have improved.
Probably won't play there again unless it's really cheap.
Why would a single (walking) think they could jump in front of our foursome at the turn?
The course was very busy, and all groups were in carts. When we made the turn, there was a single hitting off #10 with a pull cart and a loudspeaker playing music on his cart. A call to the pro shop resulted in prompt action when the Pro came out and made certain that the single was not in position on the course and that he would NOT impede our progress.
The staff handled the incident professionally and in a timely manner.
Let the single play through. Walking is faster than being in carts by the way.
