Indian River Preserve Golf Club

Used to play here a lot but have been mostly playing other places lately. Came back day after New Year's for an afternoon round. Got around front quickly but hit a backup on 10. Front was empty so figured I'd play front twice as I clearly wouldn't be able to finish back before sunset. Starter actually chased me to first green and was remarkably rude. So much so, that I picked up and left. There are better places for the money not far away that treat players much better. I won't be back.

It's a decent track layout. It's not boring golf that is challenging & makes you think.

The greens are in pretty good shape.

But it's downhill from there.

It's not very well maintained. Lots of rough spots all over the course.

There's nothing I hate more than to be just a few paces off the green & hitting from dirt instead of grass/turf.

I live in Orlando. If I lived around Mims ( I have no clue if there are other courses around Mims)... and it's my only choice, than I'd be happy to have a course near me.

But for me to drive 50 minutes from Oviedo and pay $40 for that course, does not make sense.

I tried it once 5-6 years ago. Wasn't too impressed then. But with a name change, new clubhouse and I presumed.... renovations to the course - I expected it to be in better shape.

I was wrong. It's very unlikely I'll make another 50 minute drive to play there again.

The people, food, practice facilities and golf course is awesome.

Currently this course is in high play due to snowbirds, which creates massively slow play...very painful. The course is begining to look a little overplayed which means the fairways are getting lots of divots and pot marks. The greens are still in pretty good condition - as long as you don't play behind some lazy feet draggers. I enjoy playing this course as its pretty local for me - but if the quality of play and course maintainance drops anymore - then I'll wait for the canadians to return north for the summer and come back.

Booked Golfnow and joined another 2sum. Great weather and always like meeting new golfers. Cart girl was friendly and on it. Course was in very good shape. Greens started out slow and a little wet. By hole 6-7 the greens dried were more my speed.

The course has improved from years past but there's better for the money, the greens were slow and bumpy but are better than 2 years ago when last played. I wouldn't go south of my way to play it.

Love the layout, with many different types of

holes. Used all the clubs in my bag. Pace of play was about 4.5 hours, a little slow for Tuesday afternoon. Tees, fairways, bunkers, all in good shape. Greens have a nice cover, but a little on the slow side for me. Several tee boxes to choose from, so designed for all types of hadicap golfers to enjoy

Would definitely go back.

I know the object is to make money, from a business stand point, but when you get TO MANY golfers on the course at the same time its just NOT ENJOYABLE. This was one of the worse rounds I had this year we waited on every hole the ENTIRE ROUND. I suggest putting more time between tee time.

Course was in good overall condition and some holes are very challenging on windy days. Playing length from white tees is too short unless you are very short, but moving back to blue tees adds over 500 yards.

It's my fault, I suppose, for challenging myself. I didn't have much fun ... accuracy is at a premium.

First time playing and I was impressed with the course design, the condition was very good, the greens were consistent and rolled true. Not many flat putts and the layout of the holes were challenging, especially from playing the gold tees. Will certainly be back and if I have visitors in town, I will take them here for a golfing treat.

Enjoyable course in good condition. Second time to play in last two weeks. Need management on the course, We were a twosome and Starter told us to go on ahead of our tee time as it was a slow day and the course was wide open. By hole #4 we back up into a single, two twosomes, and a foursome. Every hole after that we sat at every tee box a minimum of five to ten minutes. We lodged a complaint with the girl driving the snack cart and she said she would let the pro shop know. She also told us that there were two tournaments that morning and play was slow. We teed off at 11:20 and we did not finish our round until 4:00 p.m.

This golf course is a gem, it is a great test of golf and you will use every golf club in the bag.

The prices are kept vey reasonable, everyone I have brought to the course has loved it.

Played as a single and was joined by a friendly single. Course great value booked through GolfNow. White tees seem short but will provide a true challenge.

I found the layout some what confusing the first day I played, since there is no layout shown either on the course or on the cards. There are several holes where you do not see the green or any trouble. There is sand on the front and water, lots of water on the back with a few forced carry's. I found it enjoyable enough to play again two days later.

I haven't played here for about a year or so. It has come a long way as far as the conditions are concerned. It was in great shape the day I played.They reversed the 9's ..Much nicer this way.

The tees, fairways and greens were in very good shape. The staff, from pro shop to starter were friendly and responsive to questions. Yes I would return and bring a friend or two.
