Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Great Track Needs Work
Great track, however, tee boxes and fairways need work! Greens and bunkers decent, but fairways sparse and few tee boxes had no grass to speak of. Track challenging and course would be top five when fairways and tee boxes are addressed by course manager.
Great Course
Some of the tee boxes need some work, they were just dirt. Some areas around a few of the greens were dead grass/dirt and needed some work. Course layout is great and with some TLC this will be an outstanding course again. The greens were all in very good shape. It was still a great round of golf and I will play Eagle Dunes again.

Very Poor
Just not in good shape. Tee boxes are chewed up, fairways are bare at best, complete dirt at worst. Anything off the fairway or around the green is worse.
Greens are in good shape, which is the hook for some players, but everything between tee and green is just not how golf should be.
It's a real shame as the layout here is fantastic. So much potential if someone were prepared to invest the proper funds to bring this place back up to scratch. As it stands, I wouldn't play here again even if were offered to be free of charge.

Joke of a course
Looked like a bombing range. Sandspurs, half of the greens were burnt up from fertilizer. Pitiful excuse of a course. NO WATER. Only 2 plastic bathrooms no handicape accessible on whole course. Golf carts no USB ports for fan. No bar stand alone or on course even delivering water. I paid $40 ea for a party of 4, 18/holes. Not worth the fees. Will not return again. Goat pasture.
Agree 100% with this. We experienced the same recently. This place is a disgrace.
I hope it sold to someone who gives a crap, or bulldoze it and put up ugly houses and condos, that would still look better than this place.

Best greens in Central Florida. Best staff in Central Florida.
Clearly, this person is one of 2 things.
1. Completely Blind and devoid of common sense.
2. An employee writing the "glowing" review of the worst course conditions in all of central Florida
This review is literally the opposite of the truth.
Rough Shape
This course was always my favorite, they have really let the fairways and tee boxes go, looks like they’re trying to do something to
improve but large areas of course are roped off right now, greens are only saving grace, not sure if they’re ever going to get it back to what it was stopped playing for several weeks went back and it was worse disappointed they need major help!!! Also they’re still charging full price. Probably won’t play for a while again.

Fantastic Greens
I will always find something good to say and in this case the greens were outstanding. However, the remainder of the course is really struggling. It's going to take a while to get things back into playable shape. The effort is being made and it is appreciated.

Course was in rough shape
Super overgrown and crab grass everywhere. Worst condition course I’ve seen in a while, however, the greens were actually solid and rolling nice. Pace of play was horrible, took 50 mins to play 3 holes but can’t really blame that on the course I guess. Overall not worth $60 for those type of conditions. Ranger did say they were closing for renovations so hopefully it’s in much better shape after that.

The Greens are in good shape.
The course is undergoing repairs. There are roped off "ground under repair" areas throughout the course. Tee boxes are not that good either. I've played this course countless times, love the layout. Too bad the condition has deteriorated to the point they're at.

Rough conditions
The Fairways are full of weeds and rain washout. Several holes from the tee box I could not make out the fairway from the rough. The rough is so dense that getting out is difficult. Greens are good shape though. No shaded area with trees so on hot days you cook under the sun.

If there is one, they should be fired for letting a course get into the condition its been in for years..
Course is a goat track, in every way possible.
On top of that they have broken and cracked golf balls, at least 5 years old, and a range with zero grass and holes so bad it looks like a construction site.
