Eagle Dunes Golf Club

Course is playing good from tee to green. Have seen fresh turf on holes that need it. Recent rain has helped all the fairways. The greens very quick.and in great shape. The staff are a great group of guys. Always a pleasure to see them. The course is great. It just needs some grass in a few areas. I will be back soon!

Greens were good but that was it. Fairways, tee boxes were terrible. Course has really gone down hill. I know we have been dry but you have to water course.

Course needs to maintain the fairways with more grass and less weeds.

First off I’ve played here many times before but haven’t been back for several months. I was excited to play here with my son. I was surprised to say the least when I saw the condition of the course. Greens are usually immaculate and fairways were always great, but not anymore. Greens were ok and fairways were in terrible shape. Coming out of winter season and charging winter prices, for god sakes put some money into some weed control and fertilizer for the fairways. And for this course to have ok greens, you should be ashamed of yourself. I still have a 4star rating because I’m hoping maybe we came on a bad month. Would love to see the place turn it around and return to its capability soon, rather than be just some course that’s ok and overpriced. As of now several options in better condition for much less money.

For the money, it's a good value. It's worth what we paid for. Greens are nice to putt on, good roll. Everybody moves along pretty good.

Needs to take the bunkers more to actually get some sand, and not feel like it's a cart path. Golfers shouldn't have to come up with new ways for an old shot, like figuring a way to hit out of bad bunkers.

Fairways ... let's just say, if you have a small hitting mat, bring it. We tried moving the ball in the fairway to a spot with grass .. we tried a 5 foot diameter, but sometimes there wasn't any grass within 20 ft! Had to move all over to find a deck m decent spot to hit from. Very bad fairways .. especially in coping and pitching range of the greens.

It's worth the great fee we paid, unlike many in the area, they seem to know it isn't worth big bucks to play a beat up course.

I love this course. I've played it many times, and I keep coming back as it offers challenges that aren't normally seen in the flattest state in the US. There are many elevation changes on this course that is revealed by the dramatic scene from the back porch of the club house.

When I've played this course in the past, the course was in amazing shape, lush fairways, perfect greens, and tee boxes that are level and plush. This past round, the course is showing some wear and tear from constant play. The high rating of this course is driving players to flock here, as it should, but the course is starting to show some bare spots on the fairways and tee boxes. My ball would find dirt patches or hard grass areas on the fairway, so I would have a really tight lie for my second or third shots.

All in all the course is still very playable, and I love coming out here for the quiet atmosphere and quick pace of play. 2 golfers played at 3.5 hours with players ahead and behind us all day.

Some fairways were in pretty bad shape. Greens were very good though.

The pace of play both times I’ve played this course was great. However, the condition of the fairways this time were definitely worse. Needs work. I well understand we have been in drought conditions lately, but please improve the fairways. Greens are very good, true rolls.

Lots of fresh grass in all over the course. Greens are always great. Plenty of practice area for whatever aspect of your game you want to work on. I’ll be back soon!

I've played here perhaps 20 times in the last 2 years, and I love the layout and the very nice greens. However, my buddy and I are close to dropping Eagle Dunes from our rotation.

First, the "driving range" is a joke. You are given balls that were made in 2002 and you hit them off of mostly dirt into a valley. So dialing in your distances is not possible.

Next, some of the fairways are so rough that it jars your teeth to ride over them. The weeds and bare spots have taken over some holes.

I know it will take some cash to save this course, but (listen ownership) this course is worth saving!

I’ve played this course probably 50 times over the years. I have no idea what other reviews are talking about here, but Eagles Dunes is in TERRIBLE shape! Tee boxes bad, fairways worse. Greens were okay, crabgrass starting to pop up everywhere, greens will be ruined in another month and will look like Red Tail (which is also now terrible). $60+ to play a course that isn’t worth half that. Take it from someone who knows what a golf course should be, play somewhere else! Eagle dunes has now made the do not play list with my group!

Terrible driving range with balls that need to be replaced. You hit into a gully so no judging distance when practicing. Beautiful course layout ruined by owner's refusal to put water to course. Not one good lie in 18 holes. Stay away until owner decides to stop cheaping out on putting water to course on a daily basis.
