About
The Golf Club at Fleming Island has a diverse landscape that allows for two distinctly different nines. The front nine of the golf course is wide open with waste areas and wetlands to create a classic links feeling. In contrast, the back nine was carved from dense forests, giving a more secluded atmosphere. There are sand bunkers strategically placed across the rolling landscape and water comes into play throughout. The fairways on this golf course are misleading, they are not as tight as they seem from the tees. Although the Golf Club at Fleming Island can be a challenge, there are five sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

No carts
Had to wait for a cart. Tee off time was delayed and couldn’t finish before dark.
Not enough carts
This is the 4th time that they did not have enough carts at tee time. There were people standing around waiting for carts. We could not hit range ball because we would have been skipped over for a cart. Since we started late we could not finish our round before darkness. They shouldn't schedule more tee times than carts available.
Needs attention
Tee off around 1230 and the pace of play was absolutely horrific. Over five hour round! I think the starter was more focused on smoking cigarettes in the golf cart then actually keeping the pace of play. Tee boxes were very poor condition and grass was extremely thin. Fairways were mediocre at best. The greens were surprisingly in decent shape and they rolled very true. Called the day prior to our tee time to ensure it was OK to bring my five-year-old along and that I wouldn’t be charged some ridiculous rider fee. She said that was no problem and there will be no extra fee. Then when I got there I got hit with another $20 fee anyway. Poor customer service from that perspective. Absolutely no Covid precautions were being taken. From the pins on the green to the maskless staff and the large gatherings in the club house. Very disappointed with this experience.
Day with my boys
Just an unfortunate day of mishaps that made this birthday outing with two of my sons less enjoyable at a nice course. There was an outing in the morning. We were totally unaware. We started 1 hour late, so we had to play the last 2 holes in the dark. We also had to wait on constant interruptions with members driving their carts by us, guess clearing the tournament and the course advisor cart dying 2 times.
Fleming Island good value
Fleming Island is an excellent course & good value. Highly recommended
Wonderful Golf Outing
This was a wonderful golf outing & I hope to play the course again with many other friends. Very nice course, very nice people, beautiful weather - 2020Nov29.
Always great course
Played many times over the years and it is only getting better with all improvements!
Think twice
It started with the starter assuring us that they are busy but that they keep the pace of play moving., 4hr 15 tops. At hole 3 tee box (par 5) 4 groups on the hole and 50 minutes in. Called pro shop, “we’ll send someone “. Never came. Hole 4, cart dying. Called pro shop, “we’ll send someone with cart, never came. Saw ranger o. 7, informed us they were very busy and had no cart to bring us and that he hoped we made it to the turn. At 3 hours, just now to 10th tee. Needless to say, probably won’t finish before the sun sets at 530. Tee time was 1130. So course very receptive to taking your money, but other than that, a six hour round on any day is past ridiculous and management obviously couldn’t care less.
rough riding and quirky course
challenging layout and good greens but the cart paths are horrific and the course has very poor drainage. It has been days since it has rained and there was standing water everywhere.

Challenging for shot making and shaping with lightning fast greens. Great value!

Loved the layout, beauty of this excellent course. Greens rolled well & fairways in great shape.
Great day of golf
The course was in great shape, even where I sometimes hit, and I found the GPS to be very helpful. I finished in 3 hours 15 mins and was glad I went out. Staff was very friendly!
