About
The Golf Club at Fleming Island has a diverse landscape that allows for two distinctly different nines. The front nine of the golf course is wide open with waste areas and wetlands to create a classic links feeling. In contrast, the back nine was carved from dense forests, giving a more secluded atmosphere. There are sand bunkers strategically placed across the rolling landscape and water comes into play throughout. The fairways on this golf course are misleading, they are not as tight as they seem from the tees. Although the Golf Club at Fleming Island can be a challenge, there are five sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

Former landfill??
After playing this course for the first time with much anticipation of a good experience I must say I was not impressed. Apparently this course is played often by beer drinking slobs that just toss their empty cans into the swampy wooded areas along each hole. Never seen anything like it on any other course in 50 years of golfing. The golf course itself was in good shape considering the enormous amount of rain lately. I did not care for the layout as it was difficult on some holes to figure out where to aim. So just hit and hope. Greens were rolling good but very difficult to read. I was 2 over on putts alone. Guy at check in not helpful at all when asked a question. Friendliest staff person was the young man cleaning the carts after the round. He actually made me feel welcome and appreciated. I most likely will not drive the 35 miles again even at a hot rate deal.
Course Conditions
I played this course a few times before today. I will not go back after this last time. They overbooked completely. It took 4 and a half hours to play a round when it was just me and one friend. The course Conditions were not great, tee boxes were awful, and the cart path a complete disaster. I was very dissapointed with this course and I will not be back.
Slow play need a Marshall
Enjoyed play until we caught two slow groups. Friendly even though had long wait to finish. Just barely finished before rain showers.

The course was in great shape the greens were a little slow . the one probably we had that it started lightning and raining after nine and they would not give us a rain check
Enjoyed the course/hated the heat
A challeng in the extreme heat and wetness but course was in good shape considering it all. Will play again for sure.
Nice Track
My son and I played for the first time. We enjoyed the diversity of the holes. Greens were a touch hairy and slow. Great value for the price!

First time playing this course and gave to say I was very pleased and will definitely be back.
Great Conditions
First time playing and it was a great experience. From the Tees all the way to the greens, the course was in really good shape. Greens were soft and very receptive. Some holes can be pretty challenging but are fair. They also had a pretty good driving range and practice putting area. Club house restaurant/bar area was nice with good vibes. Pace of the play was really good, never waited on groups ahead of us. Definitely will be back and would recommend this course to anyone in the area.
Fun and great condition
Had a great time. The course condition was some of he best right now. The greens a little sandy but really manageable.
Excellent Course!
Great Layout & Best Shape of any course I have played in years. Better bring your “A” game and be ready for some tough lies in their plush, thick rough...definitely a half shot penalty at a minimum! Fairways & Greens are the Best anywhere! Drove an hour and a half to play based on reviews and just added this course to my favorites. Beverage cart made it around 3-4 times during our 3.5 hour round. As a former PGA Professional I cannot say enough about this course! You will have to play it for yourself! Great job Course Superintendent!!!
Nice fesign
The cart paths are in very bad shape. T-times were not respected. I love to meet with other players. It didn’t happen. At the booked t-time my supposed partners were already gone.
Having said that I had a very pleasant round: not to challenging, not to easy neither. I recommend to all players with a handicap between 15 and 20.
Play it!
This course is always in nice condition, a great value. The tees fairways and greens are pristeen. Play it.
Decent
Course was okay. Tee boxes were a little rough. Cart paths were terrible. Like off reading in a 2 wheel drive. Pace of play was good. Gnats were awful!
Just wonderful
First time in along time I didn’t have anything negative to say about a course! It poured down raining for awhile and most of the greens still rolled true afterwards!
