Was expecting more

Considering this is a Greg Norman Signature Course set in the upscale Vellano gated community of mulitimillion dollar homes overlooking the Chino Valley , I was expecting a course that fit the motief. The setting and homes are beautiful, and this is one of the more picturesque courses I've played in So Cal, but the course itself was kinda rough around the edges. Lots of hills to walk up where you'd expect steps or walkways, some areas dry and unkempt and with weeds. Overall, conditions were fairly good, but guess I was expecting more. The greens were hard to read at times and found them to be somewhat inconsistant from hole to hole. The couse is hilly overall and requires good club selection and accuracy a lot of the time. Fairways can be narrow at times, mature oaks line several fairways, and there are forced carries on some holes. The staff was extremely friendly and accomdiating. I paid $60 weekday, which I think is a fair price for this track. Not that I would rush to do it, but would play again given the chance.

This course is extremely hilly and make sure to take alot of balls!
