About
Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club is a Scottish links-style layout that is routed through sparkling lakes and carefully preserved conservation areas. The challenging layout features narrow tree-lined fairways and water hazards on all 18 holes. The front nine is short and tight, which contrasts nicely with the longer and more open back nine. Overall though, the golf course is not particularly long by modern standards. It is a shot-maker's course, requiring both accuracy and skilled iron play. The course has a challenging finishing hole that sums up the best elements of the course. This par-4 is a sharp dogleg right with a slew of bunkers and a pond to reckon with. The hole borders a nature preserve, making it the prettiest and most challenging hole on the course.

Beautiful greens tough track
Course meanders thru a housing development. Fairways and greens were good but some traps were poor. Play was 5+ hrs. Maybe I hit it on the wrong day. A real challenge to finish with the same ball you start with.
Beat Us Up Pretty Good
The course is in great shape and the round was just 4 hours. We're both 10 indexes and it beat us up pretty good. We'll be back to try our hand at it again!!
Fun day
I went out with my son and grandson. The course was fun but very playable. It would be good for many playing levels. I'll be back to play again.
Executive course
Course was challenging for a par 3, course condition was adaquate, and pace of play was good. Not worth the trip of 1 hour to go back.

Fun Course
A nice executive course to start the golf season out for my wife and me. Had an opportunity to use irons and even my driver on a couple of holes. The price was right as I booked on Golf Now. Hope to play the 18 hole course before we leave at the end of March. Will play the executive course again.
great thinking course
Iv played this course last year I forgot how tough it was if you don't think you're way around ! Mostly around homes with water on almost every hole ! ! ! Great course definitely be back !
Very nice course
On January 5 2014,three friends and I played tampa bay golf course very pleasant to play,a little challenge but we had a lot of fun.Staff very friendly.I will recommend this course to all my friends.Thanks to Golf Now for your hotdeals.
Good for age group
This course seemed to be in a 55 plus community and the holes seemed fairly short. The greens were not fast, not slow and very inconsistent from green to green. The pace was slow, the course was very boring and after 5 holes we walked off. We like challenging courses and this was definitely not one of those. Lots of houses that come into play if you have errant tee shots.
Great course for Beginners
This course was great for practice on your irons, not good for putting. Maybe the 18 hole course is better because I only played on the 9 hole overall good price . I recommend they work on the putting area on the 9 hole course .

When I play alone, I get the opportunity to work on certain aspects of my game...the course was nice and quiet and I enjoyed my round...

lots of water, few bunks, best to stay in fairway as any course, greens very fast and in great shape

COURSE IS VERY CHALLENGING WITH LOTS OF WATER AND SAND. HAVE LOTS OF BALLS WITH YOU SO YOU DON'T RUN OUT. THEY HAVE BALLS AT GOOD PRICES CUZ YOU WILL NEED THEM!
Better shape this year than last
Have played this course since it opened. It is in good shape now and well worth the trip to play it. However, watch out for the Shotgun Starts which you may get booked into without knowing it. I would recommend calling the course ahead of time to see if you are buying a tee time which is included in the shotgun start. Luckily, there were not a lot of golfers in the shotgun start yesterday and it worked out pretty good. We made good time and had fun.

Good course for the money. Narrow fairways can be challenging.
