Duran Golf Club - Championship Course
About
Duran Golf Club is a local favorite, known for being the best public course in Brevard County. The club is also home to the area's only lighted nine-hole, par-3 course. The course stretches across fertile terrain that was formerly a sod farm, lending some of the lushest playing surfaces on Florida's east coast. The championship layout has a links feel with subtle mounding that frames large, undulating greens. The beautiful landscape comes into play throughout the golf course. Sparkling lakes and ponds, lush grasses, and stately palms all add to the beauty and challenge of the round. Coastal breezes come into play on several holes thanks to the seaside location. Duran Golf Club's practice facility is almost as popular as the 18-hole course. In addition to the par-3 course, there is also a large driving range with mounded areas where you can practice with uphill and downhill lies.

Great course in Central Florida
This is my favorite course in Central Florida. Always consistent shape. Will be back soon.
Duran Duran
I moved to the area not long ago and have been looking for a good course to play at that will provide a challenge yet make for a great round regardless. Duran GC provided that. The course was in great condition. Fairways were well kept. Greens were in good shape, minus some previous golfers not fixing divots... what else could you expect though. the fairways were open and receptive. The greens were playing a bit firm for the short game. Made life a little difficult trying to get the ball to check. Serveral well placed bunkers protected the greens from being straight in shots. All that said, the course was a great first-time trip. I will make Duran my regularly played course. Excellent practice area as well.
Hidden gem
One of the best golfcourses in the cocoa beach area. Psst dont tell anybody!
duran
great course, great condition, pace of play bad, waited on every hole for 15 minutes and the group behind kept hitting up on us even though they could see we were waiting for groups ahead of us.
Usual pace of play
Every single time I go to Duran I end up saying the same thing. "I am never coming back." Pace of play is abysmal. This round took 5 plus hours. Phones don't work. Marshalls are worthless. Front desk guy needs to get a job at a garage where his verbal skills will be appreciated. Couldn't find the bartender for 15 minutes at the turn. All of this for the low, low price of $75.
It isn't just me. The family ahead of us finally gave up and one cart quit at the 14th hole. The lady who stayed says she is done with Duran also. I don't know how they make it.
Great overall facility
From the time we arrived when the cart guys grabbed the clubs from the trunk until they put ‘em back in it was great. We arrived 30 min early giving us time for warmup and practice green time. My one issue is there is no coffee available. If you head out before 8 am but your favorite coffee shop on your way to the course. At the turn we got a cup and off we went. Everybody was friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. Greens were great as were the fairways - when you hit them lol!
5 stars for a great course
My wife and I saw that Duran was recommended as one of the better public courses on the Space Coast, so we headed over and gave it a try. We arrived to a fun little pro shop with lots of stuff inside (including some interesting clearance items) and a nice attendant to direct us where to go. We grabbed our carts, went around to the putting green near the starter (great guy who gave us some good tips) and the first hole, and were soon off.
The course was in great shape and made for a really interesting play. The wildlife (including some crows that kept coming after our food on the back nine) made the course rather unique. The greens ran really pure and the pace, while not very fast due to being the weekend, moved along as well as one could hope.
Overall, Duran provided us with a great day of golf. Definitely will come back to play again.
Pace of play is too slow
As always the course is in great condition. However, as always, the pace of play is too slow. It should not take 5 hours to play 18 holes of golf. For the price, a Marshall should be on the course pushing groups to play at a more reasonable pace. Each time I’ve played Duran, the pace has been this way…it makes me want to go elsewhere.
Cart boys
Cart boys did nothing to help with clubs essentially they did noy
