Head ache
The ground crew followed us for 16 holes. The sound, fumes and the pollen gave me and my wife head aches. We complained to both the gardener and the front desk with little improvement. I won't go back because besides the fact that we were followed, the gardener had no manners, he didn't shut the mower off when we were hitting, causing us to miss several shots.
A little more sand
Excellent executive course with a wide range of hole distances. Greens are very nice and putt well. The only thing I would like to see is more sand in some of the greenside bunkers. It is hard to practice a bunker shot without sand.
Ride, bring water and patience on the greens
This is a very challenging par 3 course with holes ranging from around 100 to about 200 yards. Most or all of the holes have sandtraps with hard, shallow "sand." Many of the greens and/or tees are elevated, so there is a lot of up and down. The condition of the greens is excellent, but the slope and pin placement is often hellish--with pins on or near very small plateaus that are below or above steep terraces. Pros would probably go crazy trying to manage many of these greens. I walked the course, and that, for me, was a mistake--even with a pull-cart. I had no idea there would be so much hill-climbing on a short executive course or that on 3 or 4 occasions greens would be separated from the next teebox by hundreds of yards! Also, there is no water on the course! Bring your own! It was 90 degrees when I played in the afternoon, and I was amazed when my playing partner (a regular at that course) told me that the company in charge did not provide water anywhere on the course --only at the clubhouse. Unfortunately I didn't start to feel weary and thirsty until about hole 12 on the back nine.
Great Par 3 Course
Excellent for beginners or someone just wanting to practice their short game.
Reidy Creek
Good course to work on the short game. Went out with my son and despite some moderately slow play, quite able to get in 18 despite starting after 12:30pm. Nice walking course and easy to keep up our pace with those with carts both in front and behind us.
Best value for your money.
Great course to play a quick round. Can't beat the price. The course conditions are really good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Course conditions are really good considering the drought. Would definitely recommend this course to everybody.
Fun times!
My buddy and I played on Sunday morning at 7:30 and the course was wide open. There were groups ahead of us but the pace of play was great. We got 18 holes done (walked the front and rode the back) 2 hours on the dot! Course was in great condition and the greens were very nice. They were a little slow (it rained the day before) but rolled very true. I would definitely play here again as it is great practice for your mid irons. We played the back tees so some of the holes were decent length.
WOW! A Gem
Reidy Creek presents a challenging test of golf. If you can master this little gem, just add some expertise in driving and you are ready for any championship course. Forced Carries, tough green complexes. It has it all. The sand bunkers however, need attention. The greens were consistent if not fast. A good course for the entire family.
A Pleasure
A great way to spend a couple of hours with friends. A fun tract for all abilities and a total pleasure to the senses. Besides the excellent condition of the course, the variety, the views and the abundance of wildlife make this course a unique experience.
Reidy Creek gaol
Staff ( Adam ) was super and made us feel extremely welcome appreciated. Will go back...
LONGER EXECUTIVE
If you're looking for a challenging executive course, this is it. There is out of bounds and water on many of the holes. Sand traps really need renovating as they are just dirt at this point. No sand. The greens are also tough with most having severe rolls.
Challenging short course
Course is in wonderful shape. This is a great way to work on your short game.
Perfect place to get back in the swing of things
I hadn't played in several months so my expectations of my own play were very low. And while I lived up to those low expectations, I found the course to be the perfect place to play. There aren't any lengthy drives, but what this course lacks in distance it makes up for with a excellent conditions and a beautiful setting. Weather was literally perfect, although I imagine in the middle of summer it may get a bit too hot.
First time playing course
I enjoyed the layout. The pace was a little slow
But not bad for a holiday.
Good practice for mid to short irons.
Enjoyed walking the course, but need to bring something to drink. No water or bathroom on the course.
Disappointed
Purchased round through you on 10/12 and played on 10/14. After we checked in and paid cart fees we were informed that we had to play the back nine twice due to aerating the front. Also, the same was being done to half of each green on back nine. They at least should have informed us of this prior to paying the money (normal customer service) so as to decide whether to play or not. I mentioned this to the clerk who just shrugged it off. Also, why was this not noted on your system that the aerate process was being done and discounted etc.
