"Give your driver a break"
Definitely the course to tune in your short game.
Greens were perfect and the course is always well manicured. "Clear the mind while getting a little cardio in"... A must walk course.
What a fun little course
Great little par-3, real fun to play. Lots of variety in distance, elevation changes, and challenge. Greens were in fine shape and very receptive.
The Greens
The greens were in great shape, rolling about 10 on the stimpmeter. They were well manicured and rolled true. We always play this course when we are down here. It's a challenge, yet manageable. And the staff is always friendly, happy to see you.
No aeration alert
I wondered why the parking lot was nearly empty on a Saturday. The course had recently been aerated. No warning on Golfnow or at check in. This is a great course to work on your short game but today no so for putting. If an aeration alert is not given by either Golfnow or the course you should get your money back.
No aeration alert
Wondered why the parking lot was nearly empty. They had recently aerated the greens. No warning given on golfnow or at the club house. It is a nice course for short game practice but today not for putting. Golfnow should be required to have aeration alerts or you get your money back.
Perfect practice round
Each summer I come south from Seattle and look forward to this course. I Had a value priced tee time just before 11 on a day when the Escondido high would be 82. Clearly the locals prefer earlier or later, as I had the whole course basically to myself. Just a FootBolf group way ahead of me. Very cordial staffer set me up with the $5 push cart. Gentle ups and downs on the front 9, highlighted by the "natural rattlesnake habitat alert" on 5th hole. (didn't hear one) The back 9 has much more pronounced ups and downs, as a walker almost 70 and not in great shape, it was worn out by the end. But the exercise and the gentle breezes mad it a great experience. Stella on tap a good feature, but the world-renowned Stone Brewery 15 minutes away is also a great option. Reidy Creek is a wonderful muni resource!
Fantastic Staff, beer selection and great course
What a hidden gem! Tough par 3 course with regulation size greens. Very undulating multi leveled greens with trouble everywhere on the course. Back 9 is very scenic. The staff went above and beyond while I was there. Best local beer selection I've seen at any course around.
Reidy Creek a fine par three course.
Terrific par three course in beautiful setting; immaculately maintained.
Best par 3 Course in San Diego
Layout is AWSOME! Greens are in perfect condition! Pace of play Never had to wait! Staff makes you feel welcomed like your a regular there! Get out there & experience the Best par 3 Course in Sam Diego!!! Keep it in the Short grass!!!
A little jem
This beautiful little course (all par 3's) is excellent value and the greens are about the best in the San Diego area. They have unlimited use of recycled water, that may have something to do with it. Pace of play is very good, unlike too many courses around here; yesterday I walked 18 in 2 hr 50 min even though I played two balls a few times. Just don't tell too many people - wouldn't want the place to get crowded ....
I love this par 3course
I used to play here every week but a job change kept me away for over a year. They have a foot golf course too and what I really liked was they moved the foot golf holes off of the greens and off to the side, they also aerate only 1/2 the green at time and put the hole on the good side of the green-BRILLIANT!!!
It's in great condition and I recommend playing it!
Head ache
The ground crew followed us for 16 holes. The sound, fumes and the pollen gave me and my wife head aches. We complained to both the gardener and the front desk with little improvement. I won't go back because besides the fact that we were followed, the gardener had no manners, he didn't shut the mower off when we were hitting, causing us to miss several shots.
A little more sand
Excellent executive course with a wide range of hole distances. Greens are very nice and putt well. The only thing I would like to see is more sand in some of the greenside bunkers. It is hard to practice a bunker shot without sand.
Ride, bring water and patience on the greens
This is a very challenging par 3 course with holes ranging from around 100 to about 200 yards. Most or all of the holes have sandtraps with hard, shallow "sand." Many of the greens and/or tees are elevated, so there is a lot of up and down. The condition of the greens is excellent, but the slope and pin placement is often hellish--with pins on or near very small plateaus that are below or above steep terraces. Pros would probably go crazy trying to manage many of these greens. I walked the course, and that, for me, was a mistake--even with a pull-cart. I had no idea there would be so much hill-climbing on a short executive course or that on 3 or 4 occasions greens would be separated from the next teebox by hundreds of yards! Also, there is no water on the course! Bring your own! It was 90 degrees when I played in the afternoon, and I was amazed when my playing partner (a regular at that course) told me that the company in charge did not provide water anywhere on the course --only at the clubhouse. Unfortunately I didn't start to feel weary and thirsty until about hole 12 on the back nine.
Green where it counts
Tees n greens in very nice condition. The rest very ruff. But it's a par 3 so you only need tees n greens
Great Par 3 Course
Excellent for beginners or someone just wanting to practice their short game.
Reidy Creek
Good course to work on the short game. Went out with my son and despite some moderately slow play, quite able to get in 18 despite starting after 12:30pm. Nice walking course and easy to keep up our pace with those with carts both in front and behind us.
This course has outstanding greens.
Pace of play was great. Front desk attendant good customer service. Greens were in great shape.
Golfing with my grandson
The course was great. There was a 5-some behind us that was really loud.
