Foxtail Golf Club - North Course
About
Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park offers two championship courses, the North and the South, situated in the heart of wine country. The North Course originally opened in 1974 but underwent a major renovation that completely redesigned the layout, improving its conditions and making it more challenging. The par-72 North is considerably longer and more difficult than the par-71 South. The North features multiple doglegs and strategically placed sand traps that will test even the most experienced players. To make the golf course a bit more approachable, water hazards don't play a prominent role, though they do appear on a few holes, and the forward tees are very player friendly. With 36 holes available, Foxtail G.C. is able to host tournaments and events while still having another 18 holes open to the public.

North course was fun to play
North course was fun to play once I crossed the street with the cart and found it. Lots of traps and the sand was ok. They need to remove the grass that is growing in a couple of them. Overall a great experience!
Good value
Price for the condition the course was excellent. A little crowded and slow, but fun. No on course beverage seller, and no cigars in the bar/clubhouse. Bring your own
Been hitting foxtail for 23yrs
It's a fun local course, good prices decent pace most days! Awesome staff always treats my daughter great.
Solid
Foxtail south is always a nice inexpensive place to play on weekday mornings. There was nobody in front of me, had the whole course to myself. Great experience!
Needs Work
They lay out is good. For me challenging from the blues. 4 & 6 play a lot longer, and the back 9 plays long. Some tough but fair holes, greens are in great shape. Pace of play usually really good, seems best going off around noon. 3 to 4 hours
The south course needs a lot of work. Not nearly as nice as North. They did fix some tee boxes on front 9. Nice improvement , but fairways need a lot of help. Bunkers have no sand. Need a bridge on #6, if walking have to wait for people teeing off to cross to walk back to #4. Lastly, have the Marshalls fill the ball washers,, annoying when empty as several of them were
North Green South Narrow
The North while more of a championship style course and very green, May in fact be easier than the South? The south is very straight. The north has doglegs. It’s my opinion anyway. And my scores reflect it as a +1 handicap.
I prefer the North but the South offers a wonderful change of pace. Two totally different courses. Great par 3 on both. Nice vistas all day on North and on back nine of South.
I could play the par 5 all day out here and never be bored. Great 18th on both sides too.
Poor tee boxes and sand traps
Practice range was mats only today. Pro shop and bar personal were spot on and friendly.
South course. Most tee boxes were average in condition.
Greens were good condition.
Traps have crab grass growing in them.
Pace of play got slow on last hole of front nine
Did not play after nine because of poor conditions
