Foxtail Golf Club - North Course
About
Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park offers two championship courses, the North and the South, situated in the heart of wine country. The North Course originally opened in 1974 but underwent a major renovation that completely redesigned the layout, improving its conditions and making it more challenging. The par-72 North is considerably longer and more difficult than the par-71 South. The North features multiple doglegs and strategically placed sand traps that will test even the most experienced players. To make the golf course a bit more approachable, water hazards don't play a prominent role, though they do appear on a few holes, and the forward tees are very player friendly. With 36 holes available, Foxtail G.C. is able to host tournaments and events while still having another 18 holes open to the public.

Great pace of play and friendly golfers
My friends and I had a great time on a well maintained course and even though we are not that good, not one bad experience with the other golfers or the marshals.
Good challange
Played before a women's tourney and course was in great shape. Thick rough, bunkers and water plus wind made for a tough but rewarding experience.
A great Sonoma County value
Friendly staff accommodated our two groups and made us fell right at home. Driving range has plenty of markers, including a bell. Starter was friendly and helpful. Marshal was very tactful. Course is in great shape with some very challenging greens. I am looking forward to my next round there.
Good solid value
Foxtail north is a good challenge, nice variety and an excellent value. Condition is usually very good
Not bad for the price..
South course is run down like always, though not terrible for the price. North Course is good for the money, until you're charged 20 bucks more per player because of a mistake made on their part. But at least they gave us each a small bucket of balls right...?
Good course
This course is great for honing your skills. But they need to remove Foot Golf from the course.
Foxtail so.
The traps need more good sand. Some just had dirt in them. That caused pebbles on the green that could and did alter our putts
Well maintain course
Excellent course. Very friendly staff. Very good fairways and perfect greens. The sand needs replacing in the traps so stay out of there
Great place for beginners and advance players
Great course to play and the polish dog and a shot of fireball at the turn is top notch
Nice well maintained course
This a nice well maintained course greens are very good and consistent. Even though you in housing you don't feel close to them and not much danger of hitting them. Overall a good day of golf.
Did not play
It was too cold and windy to play, so we did not use the prepaid tee time
Greens
Greens are good but traps need sand and are all clay.
thanks
Staff friendly, members friendly, great value, courses both south and north are fun to play.
Good greens and fairways
Overall, the south course is in good shape. Off the fairways was pretty barren. The greens were in really good condition.
Good for the money
Good course for beginner and intermediate players. Greens were well maintained. Good deals on Golf Now.
Excellent Value for the Money
Played this South course on an early Wednesday morning and there was no wait at any hole. Both the fairways and greens were in great shape. Although there are homes along many of the fairways, they are typically hidden/protected by well-positioned trees, so that made for a more relaxing round.
Fox Tail South
Fairways are bad - greens are ok to good. Depending on the green. For the money - its a decent value. Hit'em straight!
Amazing Staff
I wish I remember the gentleman who checked us in, besides his very professional service he suggested us to sightseeing by the River drive onto Bodega Bay. It was a pleasant drive and found another golf course: North Wood, Rio Monte. His service was excellent.
Greens were nice
Course suffering from drought like most Northern California courses
greens, good condition;parts of the fairway are dry and cracked.
I like the South Course, but prefer the North Course. However, sections of the fairway are dry and cracked; bunkers need more quality sand.
