Short course...nice greens
I had not played here in several years and I was pleasantly surprised at the overall conditions. Most fairways were in good shape though a few were pretty bare. The course is short and undemanding but the greens are its defense. They are is good shape and very puttable but have significant contours that make them pretty difficult. Certainly well worth the price and the drive from Sacramento.
NICE COURSE AND FUN TO PLAY.
THE COURSE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AND THE GREES ARE GREAT. LONG ENOUGH TO BE A CHALLENGE FOR THE AVERAGE GOLFER.
Wild Wings in Woodland
A nice well kept muni course. The greens are challenging and fast. Fun to play. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
It's a really great course for the money
I played good had a good time Great course, love the greens
Great 9 hole w/alternate flags!
2nd time playing here. Course conditions even better than before. Staff was great. A little back up in the beginning, when a couple of groups were making the turn. After this first nine, the second go around was wide open. The now have "family tees" that are approximately 200yds past the white tees. Perfect if you're playing with younger/beginner players. I drove the ball just past this tee box and then my girlfriend could tee off from the family tee box. Made the round go quicker. Nice, relaxing round on a "no pressure" course!
Good course, but....
In my experience if you play 9 it’s fun, but every time I’ve tried to make the turn and play the “back” 9. I have to end up leaving because all the tees are WAY backed up. Maybe the tee times are too close together? Not sure, but I’ve never been able to play a full 18 there because of that reason.
Other than that it’s a fun little course to practice on.
Fun 9 hole course, greens are well maintained and challenging
Fun course
This is a fun course that is kept in good condition. The greens were nice. The tee boxes need some work. There is not a driving range , but there are nets and a practice putting green.
Fun Course
Excellent Golf Now Hot Deal... Fun course to play... Nice people in the pro shop...
Best Kept Secret
This is an awesome course......Not too crowded, fun to play and the best greens in the area! The staff will go out of their way to help you..I live near 2 golf courses but I drive 30 miles to play here.
Good little course
This is a 9 hole course... but has dual pins (for back nine play) and a couple of Par 5's and a couple of Par 4"s. There is no natural cover, so play this course in mid/mild weather. During hot weather, it must be brutal. Hit the bunkers twice and there was REAL sand! I was actually able to punch out with control. No real restroom on Hole 4, it's a clean porta-john. The snack bar/pro shop is REALLY small. Expect to have a microwaved hot dog and bottled/canned beer. I'd play here again, in mild sun, knowing it's limited amenities.
Nice 9 hole course
When we camp at lake Berryessa, we try to play a round @Wildwings
Great Round
This course is in the beat shape of 15 courses we have played in the last 3 months. While it is only a 9 hole course, it is still a par 36 with 3 par 3's, 3 par 4's, and 3 par 5's. The greens are in great shape and lush and fairly large. The fairways are wide, and the pace of play is good. An easier and fun course!!
This course is fun to play and was in good shape.
This course is 9 holes with 2 flags on each green. You play all the yellow holes first then the green holes on your second 9. The greens are in great shape and are fast and difficult with many breaks. The grass was very nice and handled the water well. The fairways are pretty wide and very nice but not many shade trees for the heat. Fun to play.
Great course.
Well kept, great greens. The dual hole format gives you a chance to get revenge on the back nine. Good drives reward you with receptive greens for your second shot. The par 5's give a challenge but are ready to give birdies as well, depending on the pin placements.
Good place to play golf
Considering we've had 2 times our normal rain, the course is in really good shape. The sandtraps were a little hard, but that is due to the water content that hasn't drained yet, it will get better.
The course does not have any trees in play other than the first hole. There are very few water hazards (I didn't count, but there might 6 or 7).
The greens are always well kept.
There is no driving range here, they do have nets that you can practice your swing using your own balls, the practice putting green has many slopes and variances in elevations. There is a small chipping area that is nice too.
The staff here is always nice and professional.
Thank you Randy Thomas for keep this course in such good shape.
