Golfer Reviews
Great greens...overall good value
Course was in generally good condition. One or two holes had very hard fairways and short Bermuda which made the second and/or approach shot more difficult.
User friendly with wide fairways. Good pace of play.
Nice course
I never played a course with 2 flags on the same green but it wasn't a problem at all. Rough was pretty thick and the greens were aerated about 2 weeks prior and we're still rough. Course was fun and pretty wide open for all those miss hits. Can't wait to play again once greens are healed.
nice course, great value
The course played fair and was well maintained I will be back to play again
Great par 5s
Staff was very friendly and for $13 for 18 holes you can beat it!! There are houses throughout the last 6 holes but unless your a huge slicer or hooker they aren't much of a factor.. Huge wide fairways and long par 5s.. I would def play it again
Wild wings wow
This course is a jewel in the rough. We played it while we traveling to Reno. Got a lot more than we expected. Good people, super course with wonderful greens
Wild Wings July 9th, 2014
The staff are great, the facilities are a bit minimalistic.
The greens were in great shape, and the fairways are a bit too dry (to be expected, bearing in mind the drought we're suffering).
Very good course conditions
Hadn't played here for 3-4 years. Very hot and windy - unusual weather. Staff in pro shop very accommodating. Green fairly fast and course was maintained well. I know the course and community went through tough times in the housing crunch (I last played here before the crunch) but both seemed vibrant once again.
great for a quick round
Excellent 9 hole beginner course. Very forgiving with wide fairways and short rough. The greens are perfect and very well maintained. The par 5's are surprisingly long and challenging. This is my go to course for a quick walk around the track.
Slow
The course had a tournament going on which caused some issues in starting our play. They had us start on the 6th hole and was good until we caught up with the tournament play and it slowed way down. We gave up with 5 holes left to play as the pace made the day not a very pleasant experience. This is my third time back as I love the dynamics of the course but there is no course official riding around to keep the slow groups moving. The staff is always amazing and accommodating.
perfect greens
very fun course to play greens are flawless wide fairways worth the drive two flags per hole makes this course a ball to play the second time around go do it
Wild Wings Golf Outing
A fun, but challenging golf course. Even though it is a 9 hole course, they use 2 different flags on each green. Yellow for front nine and orange for back nine. It makes each hole play different on the backside. Also the greens here are the best greens I've ever played on. If you ever get a chance to play here I believe you will enjoy it! 4 out of five stars.
Wide fairways, challenging greens
Los of subtle breaks to the greens makes it challenging, and each roundi seem to have at least a couple holes where I find myself above the pin and in a place where it's just not possible to lag up within a few feet from the hole due to the undulations. The fairways are very generous. You play the same nine holes twice, but there are two pins at each green, making for different looks on the approach shot each go-around. The price and fairways keep me coming back, but I never seem to do well enough here.
Also, the fifth fairway plays a lot longer than its yardage. Three of the last four times I've played it, I've felt great about my drives only to go out and find them around 200 yards (I average about 220 and when I feel great, it's usually about 240), leaving me a longer iron than I want to hit in over those big bunkers to a very tough green. This hole is responsible for many of my disaster scores.
Always easy to get in a round.
I play this course about once a week, usually without making a tee time in advance. It is easy to get
around in less than 4 hours. The two pin placements on each green make it seem like a different nine holes each time around. The greens are very true. Staff is very friendly.
Great value - especially quality of the greens
A very playable course with excellent greens. Good players will score well, average players will enjoy the forgiveness. I love the 3-3-3 setup between par 3's, par 4's and par 5's I just wish there were longer tee boxes for the par 4's - they are all 3 fairly short. Solid par 5's and sneaky hard par 3's though. Definitely a great course for a pleasurable round and a great value as well!!
Great Value for the course
Played 18 with a cart and the course was very user friendly and the greens were running true. Hitting for the yellow and orange flags made for challenging and accurate girs. Staff was very cordial also. We had the course to ourselves which made for an enjoyable round. We've played here before and will be back.
