Foxtail Golf Club - South Course
About
There are two championship courses at Foxtail Golf Club, the North and the South. Situated in the heart of wine country, both courses enjoy a lush, scenic landscape and pleasant views of the surrounding countryside. The longer and more difficult North Course was completely redesigned to make it more challenging but the player-friendly South Course has remained a favorite destination of both Sonoma and Marin Counties for its playability. It provides a more beginner-friendly option than the North, but there are still plenty of challenges in store. No water hazards come into play but there are several strategically placed bunkers as well as trees lining the fairways. In addition to the two golf courses, Foxtail also boasts one of the best practice facilities in the North Bay. There is a full driving range available as well as chipping and putting greens.

Nice course
Still wet course, but ground crew do a very good job maintaining the course. Staff always very friendly. Still losing and finding a lot of golf balls.
OK Course
Golf course management cut the grass but still lost and found many balls. They do the best job they can under these conditions.
Challenging course
This course is a nice course in normal conditions but now it is very wet and sloppy. Plus lost and found many golf balls.
Good Course
Good round but I wish they were able to put sand in the sand traps, as it is like hitting off of adobe.
Great, Cheap Course
Great Course for the price. The sand traps are pretty unplayable and there are some long spots on the fairway, but it is December, so that is to be expected. But the greens were great and the price was even better ($19 w/ cart).
Very slow
Good challenge. Greens nice. Had to wait 5min every tee and approach shot. Round took 5 1/2 hrs. After 11 holes asked ranger about slow play-responded everyone on schedule. I guess you should plan on 5 1/2 hr round since thats on schedule
Heads And Foxtails Above The Rest
Top quality turf grasses put Foxtail North in a very high class. Wonderful greens and green speed, lush fairways and tee boxes, and a great layout make this course 5 stars.
This is how a golf course should look and feel. Awesome place to play a round of golf. Hole 10 gives me goosebumps. Love it. Hole 12 is a classic par 5. Augusta like.
Nice course
Excellent staff, course a bit soggy but in reasonable condition this time of year. Lost cell phone but honest gentlemen found it.

my local course. always come here because it's a good price and a decent course. always love coming by at least a couple times a month. shooting a 77 makes me want to come back even more
