About
Mount Dora Golf Club is a historic, member-owned golf club open to the public, located about 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando. The course began to form in 1945, shortly after World War II when returning G.I.'s petitioned the city for land to build a golf course.
A second nine was added in 1959 and the clubhouse was build in the 1960s. Set on just 85 acres, the course bills itself as "The longest 5,700 yards in Florida" thanks to an abundance of water and up and downhill lies that will demand precision over power.

Fun
Loved the layout of the course and was extremely challenged. Great conditions and looking forward to playing in upcoming tournament. Great little course for the money. Thank you my friends and I had a blast.
Nice day except for the rude members
The members behind us actually hit on to the green while we were putting. We were not slow at all , the group in front of us were still teeing off on the next hole. They pushed us all round. The course was in good shape and the greens were fine.

It’s nice to play on a historic course, the conditions of the course is greatly taken care of,,
Old, but pretty well kept, course
Enjoyed the morning at MDGC. Conditions are good. Greens are deceivingly very challenging. Mt. Dora is a beautiful area of Central Florida, so the scenery is nice.
The course layout is very tight. I think on one hole, I could see 15 or so other golfers on various different holes. Slows pace of play with so many balls going into other fairways, etc.
Staff was cool and seemed pretty organized for a busy Saturday morning.
Fun course in very nice shape. Not long but need to be accurate. Small greens. Challenging but fair. Will be back.
Very fun. Shorter course but accuracy needed both off the tee and into very smallish greens. First course I have played where there were zero spots on any greens. They were perfect. Holes tight to each other so if you are a sprayer of the golf ball this may not be the place to go. All holes pretty straight with some elevation changes. Alot of fun. 3 some played in less than 3 hours. Will be back for sure.
This course needs a face lift and a driving range
Just need some money invested in the fairways and maybe even a driving range
so much fun
Greens are small and very challenging great course for short game, too much crabgrass in fairways
