Mount Dora Golf Club
About
Mount Dora Golf Club is a historic, member-owned golf club open to the public, located about 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando. The course began to form in 1945, shortly after World War II when returning G.I.'s petitioned the city for land to build a golf course.
A second nine was added in 1959 and the clubhouse was build in the 1960s. Set on just 85 acres, the course bills itself as "The longest 5,700 yards in Florida" thanks to an abundance of water and up and downhill lies that will demand precision over power.

Great value
While other courses charge $40 to $50 dollars this course is still in the $30 range. It’s a short layout but plays long. The greens were very good and if you like them fast they were.. I was able to use all my clubs.
Fun course with interesting challenges!
First time playing here & will definitely be back.
Thank You
Kudos to Ricky and the staff enjoy the layout great deal can't beat it for the money. Elevated greens make it challenging.
MDGA
I have played this course since I was 13 years old. It has had its ups and downs and lives up to its reputation as the longest 5400 yds in golf! They have a great new General Manager that cares about the staff, golf and the course… City of Mt Dora needs to make an investment to refurbish the course and the club house!
upsetting
Course was fun however i booked a 4:28 tee time without being informed from anyone the carts have to be returned by 7. The rude cart kid informed us to turn them in by 7 call the office and get a rain check for the back 9. So we decide to finish the hole and head in on the 13th when he turned around and with a crap attitude said you can bring your cart in now or ill call the police. Why sell 18 holes and not tell anyone the time you have to turn a cart in.
Pleasant surprise
Great course for beginners/anyone not trying to be our the Tour. Great layout, wide fairways and greens were in good shape. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier, great customer service. Will definitely play here again!
Mount Dora Golf
The layout of this course is the beauty and challenge of the course. It is great to have the elevation changes, this h my airs for some interesting shots. The greens are well manicured and overall the course is in good shape.
Like this course
As I played this course several times, it still screams nostalgic ,,, this is a well kept course and just fun to play..
I like playing older courses, if only green could talk they would have a lot to say !!!!
Fun Course
The course was in excellent condition and well maintained. This is a classic course layout in Mount Dora. The course was built in the 1940’s and a tradition in Central Florida.
We had a wonderful time playing the course with its interesting holes and challenging small greens.
The staff was courteous and helpful.
We will be back here again soon.
Fun
Loved the layout of the course and was extremely challenged. Great conditions and looking forward to playing in upcoming tournament. Great little course for the money. Thank you my friends and I had a blast.
Nice day except for the rude members
The members behind us actually hit on to the green while we were putting. We were not slow at all , the group in front of us were still teeing off on the next hole. They pushed us all round. The course was in good shape and the greens were fine.
