Tierra Verde Golf Club

I enjoyed playing this course today. The course was in good shape and played very well. The weather was not the best, it drizzled rain most of the day. But it could not dampen my spirits. I recommend this course to any one looking for a great place to play golf.

Course was in good shape and a very good layout. Marshals were around and with the exception of one, didn’t do much. With a 1:30 starting time, we barely finished before dark.

Tierra Verde is a real jem in DFW. It is located in an area that feels like pure wilderness and is recognized for its low environmental impact as compared to other courses. The design and layout is exceptional. It is just tough enough to be a real challenge but not unfair to any good shot. The greens roll true and smooth. Current conditions are soft with all the rain so there is a low amount of roll out but the greens are soft enough to create a large ball mark and stop quickly. The GPS system in the carts is one of the best I have seen. It measures to the day’s flag position and offers all the information you need. Overall value for quality in much better than some of the Texas “stars” out there. Highly recommended.

We played a round on 11/1/18 and the course was in great shape. I was worried because of all the rain they’ve had the last week but the greens were in great shape along with the fairways.

Friendly staff. Fairways and greens were perfect. Sand traps are horrible. No sand, just hard red dirt and no way to hit out of them consistently. Only hole #9 has actual sand in it. For a course of this caliber, they need to do something about the traps. Play was very slow due to one group off at 7:30. The marshall was on top of it and tried to get them moving, but finally they let us through at the turn.

The course is as good as I’ve ever seen. Fairways were perfect, rough was thick, and greens were rolling true. (Not as fast as I’ve seen them)

Our experience were fantastic, staff were frendly and put some effort into making our visit enjoyable. We loved it, as simple as that.

Course in great shape. Very timely in setting you off on time. Seldom have to wait on a shot. Marshals take care of business to maintain pace of play. This is a great challenge course that you could play every day. Take your time and enjoy this beautiful course.

It’s a haul from Plano, but always worth the drive. Last week we played the horrible conditioned Tour 18 and what a contrast. Lové Tierra’s greens, fairways, and layout. We will be back.

Respectable layout from the back tees. There will be several 280 yard carries over well placed fairway bunkers. Some of which are deep, so take care in their avoidance. Greens were spongy and receptive, not quick, and somewhat inconsistent in speed. You can make putts here. Spongy spots cause chips to grab early, so be prepared. Course is fun to play; bunkers need a lot of work however. Some are basically mud, others have some sand, and even others will have a foot of sand.

I was excited about my round today haven't played here In a long time. We were a threesome they add another player who was a senior golfer nice guy but we were playing from the gold and he need the senior tees. But we teed off. And wasn't long and there was a threesome behind us. Was on our rear ends all day. But we were only 8 mins behind pace of 4 hr round even with senior golfer but who did the marshalls give a hard time too us. I put up with until the 17 th hole short par 4 260 yards with Marshall there they teed off and almost hit us and he didn't say a thing to them. Instead came down to us like he was going to to us to speed up. Said something to the pro shop but they defended the Marshall's. This place is terrible I will never play there again. Worst round in a long time and I paid 55 dollars on a Monday round bunch of a holes there. Heres the review I left about your terra verde course.

Course was in fabulous shape. Greens were in great condition, a bit slow, soft, but totally consistent. Some very interesting holes. Would definitely play this course again!

Practice areas were fantastic, big putting area, plenty of driving range spots. Staff was very friendly. Pace of play was excellent.

Really really nice course. I read some reviews of the course where people were low grading it bc of the staff. Golfers don't play a course bc the staff is friendly. Yes, the staff could use a refresher in service etiquette but who cares? It's all about the course and the course is great! I would highly recommend it to any golf lover.

Generally this is an awesome golf course to play, the layout with the nature is beautiful. Today was topping 102° and the golf course is showing effects from the heat. Overall I thought the price was fair but the greens had been punched about two weeks ago and they were pretty bumpy. I would recommend this golf course but don’t pay over $30 right now.

A bit pricey but one heck of a challenging layout, great condition and fantastic staff.

Course is in great shape. One of my favorites in the metroplex including many private courses.

Tierra Verde is a first rate round! Course was in great shape and the greens rolled well. The layout unique in that you rarely see the other holes. Fairways are generous, but the tee boxes make them appear narrow. Would recommend for sure.
