About
The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes is a Tom Fazio design that is challenging, but with five sets of tees it is versatile enough for players of all skill levels. Fazio deftly utilized the native wetlands and numerous lakes that are interspersed across the landscape, incorporating them along the expansive fairways and angled greens. The tricky greens have been carefully molded and contoured to offer a variety of pin placements. In addition to the water hazards, there are also numerous strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The golf course will test your shot-making skills as well as your creativity. To complement the golf course, Hilton Head Lakes offers an equally impressive 36-acre, double-ended practice facility with target greens, bunkers, multiple practice greens, and even a par-3 short course.

Loved the course. Ladies it’s friendly. We beat the guys . Greens fast
Pin placement
Pin placement posted was not correct. The greens were very fast. Probably around 12 or 13
Greens were smooth and true rolling probably 10.5.
Generous fairways in perfect condition. Would definitely come back and play...........
Wonderful back 9
A very nice course with some great holes.
The back 9 was my favourite, no homes around these holes, therefore it has a far better feel to it.
Nice wide open layout and in good condition. Great for those of all handicaps.
Great value
I haven’t been to this course for several years. What a change! Nice new clubhouse, driving range and putting green. Greens were fast and rolled great. Wide open fairways in great condition. Great Hot Deal price on Golf Now. Very few groups- played in 3+ hours. I’ll be back.
Sweet
Never disappointed.... Been playing the course since the temporary clubhouse. AlwYs friendly, marshal knowledgeable and course top notch tee to green. Great range facilities. Green rolled true and fast. Long course even from blues. Tips are for the big hitters!!! Love this course.
Nice Course
They have fast greens und well manicured Fairways. Layout is not spectacular but wide open.
Very good, challenging track
The course is in very good shape at this time. Greens are fast and true, the fairways are in great shape, the Bermuda rough is long enough to want to avoid it, but not devastating if in it. The only inconsistency on the course is the sand traps, but if avoided (tough to do here), then a really great value for the money.
This course always plays long, and the greens are firm, so a lot of roll. Staff is very friendly, but if the course is quiet, as it was when we played, then the only refreshment on the course are 2 comfort stations, one on each nine.

Have played this course numerous times. Well maintained. Pace of play was great.

Course is in good shape the greens were rolling beautifully. Good value for your money and much more than you expect
Greens...
The last couple of outings at the Lakes have left us wondering what's going on with the greens. Reading some of the last few reviews it appears we were playing another course or there is a second set of greens we weren't aware of. The greens we played were in very rough shape and akin to trying to putt on a hardwood floor that was more brown than green. Realizing that we are moving to another season but do not recall the greens in this rough a shape this time of the year..
The course has come a long way in the last couple of years so let's hope the excellent progress continues as this is a nice course.
Wide Open Spaces
Bit of a hike to get there from Hilton Head but a very enjoyable course. Wide fairways, receptive greens that break less than you read. bunkers not punishing, water on many holes but not really in play unless you hit it sideways. Unwalkable even if they let you. Long distances between greens and next tee on many holes. Back 9 is a nature preserve - no houses. Great place to start your golf vacation.
