Teal Bend Golf Club
About
Teal Bend Golf Club runs alongside the Sacramento River, enjoying a lush landscape covered in natural wetlands. One of the characteristics the course is known for is its stunning scenery, which works against the challenging layout by being almost too distracting. All of your attention will have to be focused on successfully maneuvering past the mature trees and natural rough areas that sit along the edges of the undulating greens and narrow, winding fairways. Long hitters will enjoy this golf course, which stretches to 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are also some interesting risk/reward holes that will appeal to both low and high handicappers, which is why it is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The well maintained driving range is also a popular feature at Teal Bend Golf Club.

Nice Course, Friendly Staff
Enjoyed playing at Teal Bend on a beautiful, sunny and slightly windy day. Pace was slow, 5 hour round, likely due to the nice weather on a Wednesday morning.
Look forward to playing here again, nice course at a great value!
Nice Muni Track
Really been enjoying Teal bend this month. First the good; Staff are friendly and helpful. They have Marshals that actually try and help on the course and keep you updated. Only all grass driving range in the region. The course is very fun, and just challenging enough that you get your moneys worth. The bad, as with all Muni courses is the pace of play. Two of the last three times we played, we were advised play was delayed to Juniors or a tournament. This is completely unacceptable, as this is a known circumstance, and should not happen.
The green was just aerated maybe 3 or 4 weeks before so it was a little to sandy but outside of that the course was beautiful. The corse set up is pretty open but long, second shot is key. The pace of play very slow, it took us 5.5 hrs to finish.
Had a great time as the dust just settled from the fires. The round went very smooth from tee box to tee box.
Love this course
It provides a challenge each time and every time. Plays a little longer than yardage states.
Best course in Sacramento
I play here just about every weekend. The course is alway in great shape. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
slow and shaggy
Greens extremely slow. Cups growing over edges.
Did show signs of aeration maybe last week but moving the cup to a non-pocked marked area of green would help
Layout good. Fairways good. Tees good. Rough tough when wet but don't hit it there. Improve the greens all good
Good Challenge!
This course was very challenging. The fairways are fairly narrow so good tee shots are a must. The layout was very nice and the course conditions were excellent. The greens were in fantastic shape (although I wish more golfers would clean up their ball marks) and rolled very nicely. The staff could not be any more helpful or friendly. My wife and I had a wonderful afternoon at Teal Bend! Great conditions, great staff, great price, great golf. What more could a golfer want?
Great playing conditions
The fairways were in top shape and the greens rolled nice. Would play again in a heartbeat.
Teal bend
A great course, always enjoy playing there ..... there are no houses on the course, I've even seen bobcats, lots of trees and natural scenery.
Management is excellent. .....
A pleasant surprise
Driving on the back road past the Sac airport on a tiny road was worrying. Driving up and seeing an outdated clubhouse made me have second thoughts. Then the golf course redeemed it's self.
I joined a group of three locals so I played their tees. The whites plays short, but the pace of play was good as the guys in my group were high handicappers. The course condition for the weather was surprisingly in very good shape. As usual with most public courses, there were fair amount of poorly repaired divots and some not repaired. The fairways were tight so another 20 - 30 yard is gained off of drives. The layout was challenging with few 'go for it' holes, but also had some dog legs in both directions to challenge both left and right handed golfers. I'm still kicking my self for hitting a very reachable par 5 17. Overall a good experience and course I'll definitely play again on my next business trip to the area.
Processing fee
The discount deal was very good, but once you add the processing fee, it becomes going rate. I thought that cost was too much.
