Teal Bend Golf Club
About
Teal Bend Golf Club runs alongside the Sacramento River, enjoying a lush landscape covered in natural wetlands. One of the characteristics the course is known for is its stunning scenery, which works against the challenging layout by being almost too distracting. All of your attention will have to be focused on successfully maneuvering past the mature trees and natural rough areas that sit along the edges of the undulating greens and narrow, winding fairways. Long hitters will enjoy this golf course, which stretches to 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are also some interesting risk/reward holes that will appeal to both low and high handicappers, which is why it is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The well maintained driving range is also a popular feature at Teal Bend Golf Club.

First Time Here
Very friendly. Would play here again. Overall I thought the course was pretty golfer friendly. The only downside was I only seen the golf cart girl once out of 18 holes. But it was also late in the afternoon. But, I will be going back again.
Fun course
very nice layout through the trees. all kinds of dog legs and challenges. Play the course you wont be disappointed. Friendly staff, good food and service.
Great Shape
This course was in beautiful shape. Beautiful course!
Solid value
A very solid golf course reasonably close to central Sacramento. Greens are a bit shaggy, but not out of the norm for a course that sees a lot of play.
Great course
The coursee was in great condition. One of the things that I love about this course is that every hole seems like it's own little course. You don't see the other fairways or greens. It is a challenging but fun course for me an intermediate level player. I have played many of the courses in the Sacramento area and this is definately one of my favorites.
Never Again
On a day when it was 106°+, Teal Bend had NO WATER ON THE BACK NINE!!!! There was more water slopping around on the muddy fairways and rough than available to players--if only we could drink from the muddy pools of water.
Furthermore, there was not a single staff member on the course for the entire round--no marshall, no food cart, AND NO WATER TO DRINK!!! This was unhealthy, dangerous, and a lawsuit waiting to happen. Clearly this course cares little about their clients.
Needless to say, I will never play there again!!!!!
Wonderful Course
Beautiful surroundings, great greens, and good people. If you slice or hook you are not going to enjoy this course. If you are able to control your drives you will love, LOVE, this course.
Teal Bend
If you hit a bad slice or draw, your ball is gone forever. Other than that, great course. Definitely rent a cart. The walk is incredibly long.
Great condition
Course was in excellent condition. Had a little trouble finding way around course, could use a few more signs on some of the holes. Greens are very fast and in great shape. look forward to golfing here again.
First time trying the course
Very happy with the layout, condition of the fairways, and the greens were tricky enough for me l
I nice track
I would recommend this course. Nice lay out and challenge. In great condition. on 5/29/17
Not a great value. Fairways were not in great shape.
Monday
Due to late time of discounted round I was able to play unencumbered. Giving me time to work on my game by concentrating on each shot. GRIP, STANCE,TENDENCIES..If more late Monday times were available on Golf Now!
Excellent Course
First time playing Teal Bend. Lots of long fairways to drive. Greens were fast and tough to read at times. It was 90 plus degrees but there were enough trees to hide under. Just so you know, they pick the range on Mondays so don't expect to hit balls after 3:00 on Mondays.
Mixed Results
Went out a little after 11 AM. Course was in typical condition. Greens were pretty nice however it appears no one avails themselves of the pitch mark tools given away at first hole. Lots of marks from earlier in the day that were not fixed. Come on people. Sand traps were the usual compacted sand that was closer to mud. This is my usual complaint with this course.
Let's go to the big cons on this trip, the food service. I show up at a quarter to eleven to see an employee sitting in the eating area. I order decaf coffee, get my cup and the decaf coffee is completely out. If you have time for a break you have time to check things like this. Unacceptable. Then after the round my wife and I are starving and go in to get a garden burger and their good fries. But no, we are told they don't have garden burgers and in fact they are out of several things because it is "inventory day". Really, this is never acceptable for a service business in my view. We left very dissatisfied.
Good course to play.
This golf course is set in a very nice area, up against the Sacramento River, just north and west of the airport. It has lots of trees and the grounds are well kept. There are plenty of hazards to avoid which makes for a fun game. There is also a good amount of wildlife running around, I enjoy see the wild animals on the course.
