Teal Bend Golf Club
About
Teal Bend Golf Club runs alongside the Sacramento River, enjoying a lush landscape covered in natural wetlands. One of the characteristics the course is known for is its stunning scenery, which works against the challenging layout by being almost too distracting. All of your attention will have to be focused on successfully maneuvering past the mature trees and natural rough areas that sit along the edges of the undulating greens and narrow, winding fairways. Long hitters will enjoy this golf course, which stretches to 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are also some interesting risk/reward holes that will appeal to both low and high handicappers, which is why it is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The well maintained driving range is also a popular feature at Teal Bend Golf Club.

I nice track
I would recommend this course. Nice lay out and challenge. In great condition. on 5/29/17
Not a great value. Fairways were not in great shape.
Monday
Due to late time of discounted round I was able to play unencumbered. Giving me time to work on my game by concentrating on each shot. GRIP, STANCE,TENDENCIES..If more late Monday times were available on Golf Now!
Excellent Course
First time playing Teal Bend. Lots of long fairways to drive. Greens were fast and tough to read at times. It was 90 plus degrees but there were enough trees to hide under. Just so you know, they pick the range on Mondays so don't expect to hit balls after 3:00 on Mondays.
Mixed Results
Went out a little after 11 AM. Course was in typical condition. Greens were pretty nice however it appears no one avails themselves of the pitch mark tools given away at first hole. Lots of marks from earlier in the day that were not fixed. Come on people. Sand traps were the usual compacted sand that was closer to mud. This is my usual complaint with this course.
Let's go to the big cons on this trip, the food service. I show up at a quarter to eleven to see an employee sitting in the eating area. I order decaf coffee, get my cup and the decaf coffee is completely out. If you have time for a break you have time to check things like this. Unacceptable. Then after the round my wife and I are starving and go in to get a garden burger and their good fries. But no, we are told they don't have garden burgers and in fact they are out of several things because it is "inventory day". Really, this is never acceptable for a service business in my view. We left very dissatisfied.
Good course to play.
This golf course is set in a very nice area, up against the Sacramento River, just north and west of the airport. It has lots of trees and the grounds are well kept. There are plenty of hazards to avoid which makes for a fun game. There is also a good amount of wildlife running around, I enjoy see the wild animals on the course.
Great course, dont walk
Never played at Teal Bend but saw a $18 Hot Deal and couldn't pass it up. Great course. Some of the tee boxes are pretty far away so I wouldn't recommend walking. I don't hit very far but was still able to get a couple pars and I played from the white tee box. Not bad for the first time playing the course. The pair we played with were pretty slow so it took us a while to finish, but I'm sure we could get it done in the four and a half hours it says it takes. The only negative is the restaurant. The guys tried to get a grilled cheese and the guy wouldn't do it saying it would take 10 min. I did see the sign at 9th hole and I told them to call in but they didn't see anything without meat on the menu so didn't know a grilled cheese was offered. The greens were in great shape, some of the fairways were patchy especially around the greens but overall in great shape. Cant wait to play again!
Nice course
The power was out at the time we played but the staff did a great job overcoming the issue
Nicest course I've played
This was my first time at Teal Bend, although I had heard good things about this course in the past. The $67 price scared me off, but we were able to find a big discount on golfnow. I see why this course normally costs as much as it does! It's in fantastic shape, unlike a few other courses I have played recently that are still recovering from all the rain we had. This course drains! Hitting off the fairway feels almost like hitting off practice mats at the range, that's how good the condition is. I will make an effort to go back and play this course again.
Beautiful course.
The course was in excellent shape. Greens were in good shape. Had a great time.
Slow play
It was a beautiful day, sunny and very little wind. After all the rain we've had lately the golf course had no standing water except for a few sand traps. The fairways were in great shape but the greens were a little beat up mostly from people not fixing divots. I don't understand it!!!
The pace of play was terrible but was mostly attributed to the fact that the course was packed. Everyone wanted to play after all the rain we had. But it was such a beautiful day that everyone took it in stride and had a great time.
Teal Bend Golf Course, Sacramento, CA
The course was in excellent, especially because of all the rain we had in Jan and Feb. It drains great. The staff was as great as the course, attentive, helpful, and very friendly. If you haven't played there, book a tee time now.
best draining course around
was raining but not flooded like most other traks. great day and greens were great. best rain day golf in nor cal.
