Waterchase Golf Course
About
Bring your best game to the Links at Waterchase--a long, difficult course that can be had if you get your mind right. Intimidating because of its length (7,304 yards), much of the extra yardage comes from five excruciatingly long par 5s. The key here is to manage these holes, get on the green or close in three, then do what you have to do for your pars.
If you play regularly at a local par 3 course, you might want to work in a practice round before taking on The Links, since there’s five par 3s.
Watch out for the enders on each side, which frame the scenic pond and waterfall that are sandwiched between the two greens. No. 9 is a 433-yard par 4, and requires a solid drive on the left side. Pay attention to the pin placement, as there is water behind the green. No. 18 goes 570 yards from the tips, and offers target golf at its best. You’ll need to lay up at least 120 yards from the hole, and keep the approach below the pin to assure yourself of an uphill putt.
Getting there : Located on the east side of Fort Worth at I-30 and Eastchase Pkwy. Take the Eastchase exit and drive north to John T. White Rd. Turn right and drive a short distance, then take the first right on Randoll Mill Rd. Turn left on Creek Run Rd.

Best course in the area right now for the price
First time playing here, wasn’t but two or three more groups playing as the weather was rolling in, but man I’ll tell you what this is an amazing track. Pretty much most courses are burnt out at this point except your super high end ones but this play was still in decent condition. Greens were great, fairways were definitely dry but way better than my home course that I pay 150$ a month to play. Awesome course layout. Course allows you to be aggressive or conservative. Split fairways. Long greens. Drivable par four. True links golf in Arlington Texas. Was super impressed and I can’t wait to play here again when everything is lush and green and the water is back to normal levels. Honestly my favorite course around here that isn’t totally private.
Fantastic
This course is in fantastic shape for being in 110 degree heat everyday. There are some tee boxes are overly firm and dried out but these are some of the softest and truest greens in DFW. Overall the course is in just about perfect shape considering where it is located. The layout is challenging and there are definitely a few really tough holes but it is a uniques layout compared to most Public Texas courses in DFW. The value for your money is great at waterchase and I highly recommend.
Excellent Course
Played the course during some of the worst heat and drought conditions we have ever had in North Texas. The course overall was in excellent shape. They have just punched the greens in recent weeks but they were still in excellent shape and rolled true. Staff and grounds crew have done an excellent job in maintaining the course during the harsh weather we have been experiencing these last couple of months. Friendly and informative staff about course conditions. No cart girls in the course because of the heat but you were informed of this at check in and were able to get refreshments and an ice chest at the clubhouse before your round and at the turn. Plenty of water stations on the course during the round. Two thumbs up to everyone involved!
Recently Aerated but good
The course was really in great condition. The greens had been punched 5 days earlier and were still sandy, but they rolled well and will probably be pretty fast in a week or two. This course is tough but it’s always fun.
Scottie knows
Arrived a little later than usual and had about 20 minutes to warm up. Driving range was mediocre but decent to get a few swings. I didn’t realize there was a par 3 course next to the range that is unaffiliated and took a minute to get to the first teebox. Scottie the starter told us not to rush and hit a couple putts before he sent us off. He was very courteous and gave us a breakdown of the course.
Conditions were great considering the heat these courses have been taking. Greens rolled true, not lightning but average speed. They also have a good selection of tees boxes for all abilities. Pace of play was good only having to wait on 1 tee box all day. They had a ranger out to keep things moving. Bev cart came around twice and the jalapeño hotdog at the turn was pretty good.
Cjaybird will be back for more.
Best Value in DFW
Played an afternoon round here and was blown away. The course was in fantastic shape with soft greens and tight tee boxes. The layout is really unique and plays tough but definitely a fun challenge. Will be returning to Waterchase soon.
Probably close to the best conditions I have ever seen WC in 15 years
Course was in tremendous shape.
So pleased they have kept this course in prime shape with the lake of rain and heat.
WaterChase is a must-play
WaterChase remains my favorite course in Fort Worth!!!
Great round
First time at this course and I’m a DFW native, definitely a hidden gem.
Course layout is nice, the fairways are well kept and the greens are very true to roll
I will definitely be going back once this Texas heat dies down a little
When playing this course make sure to play the course, this was definitely my take away
The best
Best value in DFW. Great location. Always in great shape and very challenging. I wish I lived closer.
WaterChase
Course was in outstanding condition. First time playing there. A lot of water so be prepared to hit some shots. I made the mistake of playing from the whites and the course was really short. I’ll move back in the future.
Great course design
Enjoyed the split fairways. Bring your course IQ with you!
Waterchase in great condition
Played on Friday 5/27 and the fairways and greens were pretty much immaculate. Easily some of the best tee boxes, fairways I’ve played recently. Greens are pretty good too given the heat wave and ridiculous dry and windy conditions for most of April and May. Zero complaints - other than my actual golf game.
Good conditions
I like that you won't see a house anywhere near the course, just one set of apartments on one hole. Course was in good condition. Greens were a little crusty, but very true. Bermuda grass has finally come in with the heat in May. Bunkers were good, but WHY are we still not putting rakes out? It takes forever to try to fix a bunker after playing out of it. The layout here is pretty challenging, especially in a north wind, and they had the tees all moved up a little. Always a good course to test your game and today I failed.
Review from 5/22/2022
This was my first time playing this course and I enjoyed the layout very much. It is challenging and unique. The pace of play is a bit on the slow side but nothing that really inhibited me from having a good time. This is good and should not be rushed through. I’m just trying to enjoy my Sunday on the course. I do feel however that the tee times are stacked way too close together for a course with this type of layout. Also the condition was not really great and on a few holes you struggled just to stick a tee in the ground. Overall not bad and I’d play it again
Fairways in great shape
Played 18 today, fairways were in great shape, greens were okay to good. Staff was great. I had forgotten what a nice course this is. If they could only get rid of the biting flies it would have been awesome.
Nice course
Fairways and greens are coming in nicely. Bunkers were unplayable.
Water chase Diamond in the rough
This course never lets you down. The staff is easy and friendly, ready to get you started for your round. The course is difficult and challenging making it for a fun round that tests your game. The course is in immaculate shape and plays amazing. This place is a true gem located in Fort Worth and is worth every penny to play.
