Waterchase Golf Course
About
Bring your best game to the Links at Waterchase--a long, difficult course that can be had if you get your mind right. Intimidating because of its length (7,304 yards), much of the extra yardage comes from five excruciatingly long par 5s. The key here is to manage these holes, get on the green or close in three, then do what you have to do for your pars.
If you play regularly at a local par 3 course, you might want to work in a practice round before taking on The Links, since there’s five par 3s.
Watch out for the enders on each side, which frame the scenic pond and waterfall that are sandwiched between the two greens. No. 9 is a 433-yard par 4, and requires a solid drive on the left side. Pay attention to the pin placement, as there is water behind the green. No. 18 goes 570 yards from the tips, and offers target golf at its best. You’ll need to lay up at least 120 yards from the hole, and keep the approach below the pin to assure yourself of an uphill putt.
Getting there : Located on the east side of Fort Worth at I-30 and Eastchase Pkwy. Take the Eastchase exit and drive north to John T. White Rd. Turn right and drive a short distance, then take the first right on Randoll Mill Rd. Turn left on Creek Run Rd.

Slow Pace of Play
Paying pace was too slow but no marshal was in the course to speed up and will not go back to this course.
Course backs up it’s name
Better hit them straight or this course will make you pay for it. You also have to dodge some fairways bunkers. Even so it is a fair course to pay, but leans towards a better golfer to have fun on.
I’ll be back in the spring and hope the wind is not blowing 20 mph like it did yesterday.
Amazing challenging course
Loved the layout, loved the challenging greens. Just a reminder to bring your putting “A” game, cause otherwise you’ll be in trouble. Greens are super fast and challenging. Which makes it a super fun course to play. Loved it.
Shot Management Required
Up from ATX for a Cowboys game and wanted to get in a challenging round close by and Waterchase fit the bill! Texas winter time brings tight lies on most courses and Waterchase definitely has tight lies. An added adventure with water on almost every hole and when combined with undulating greens and tricky pin positions this course will challenge your shot making and course management---which always makes for a great round of golf. Ava in Pro Shop got us off early and everyone was super friendly and helpful.
Back for redemption…
This was my second round here, seeking redemption from the first time I played here. First round took all my balls and it was miserable. This time I brought plenty of balls and it was very enjoyable despite not playing my best. The greens are super fast and the pin placements were just evil. Nice new golf carts with GPS. Friendly cart girls and ambassadors to keep it smooth. Will be back!
Course in Great Shape
Love this course. Wide variety of holes. Greens in exceptional shape.
Tough Test Today
The course is in great condition!
Greens were true and fast. All the pins were tucked away. That, coupled with 25 to 35 mph winds, made for a challenging and fun day.
I recommend this course.
Great Track
Very happy with my choice. Great value and the layout was really nice. Challenging from the gold tees. Greens were a little slow in the morning but well manicured. Will definitely play there again. One of the beat courses I’ve played in DFW.
Good course, could be excellent.
Always enjoy playing this course, it has a good layout with some challenging holes. The greens were in great shape, held most approach shots and rolled pure on puts. The staff are always friendly and happy to assist. There are however two frustrating points to mention. A couple of poorly placed pin locations, any course that has the pin/s placed less than two feet from a slope on the green shows a lack of understanding of Rule 15-3(iii). Give your golfers tough pins with a chance of making more putts, not ridiculous pins where the ball will role 6ft past if not holed. The bunkers need attention as well, some had very little to no sand in them.
Terrible Experience
We were 4 minutes behind pace according to the cart. The marshals kept barking at us and worse stared at us while talking into their phones. The group behind us wasn’t even in sight. Very unprofessional and disappointing. I play twice a week and have never been treated that way.
Gorgeous and affordable.
Definitely on of the best courses I’ve played at in Texas. Extremely challenging and well payed out to challenge every club in your bag.
Best course in the area right now for the price
First time playing here, wasn’t but two or three more groups playing as the weather was rolling in, but man I’ll tell you what this is an amazing track. Pretty much most courses are burnt out at this point except your super high end ones but this play was still in decent condition. Greens were great, fairways were definitely dry but way better than my home course that I pay 150$ a month to play. Awesome course layout. Course allows you to be aggressive or conservative. Split fairways. Long greens. Drivable par four. True links golf in Arlington Texas. Was super impressed and I can’t wait to play here again when everything is lush and green and the water is back to normal levels. Honestly my favorite course around here that isn’t totally private.
Fantastic
This course is in fantastic shape for being in 110 degree heat everyday. There are some tee boxes are overly firm and dried out but these are some of the softest and truest greens in DFW. Overall the course is in just about perfect shape considering where it is located. The layout is challenging and there are definitely a few really tough holes but it is a uniques layout compared to most Public Texas courses in DFW. The value for your money is great at waterchase and I highly recommend.
Excellent Course
Played the course during some of the worst heat and drought conditions we have ever had in North Texas. The course overall was in excellent shape. They have just punched the greens in recent weeks but they were still in excellent shape and rolled true. Staff and grounds crew have done an excellent job in maintaining the course during the harsh weather we have been experiencing these last couple of months. Friendly and informative staff about course conditions. No cart girls in the course because of the heat but you were informed of this at check in and were able to get refreshments and an ice chest at the clubhouse before your round and at the turn. Plenty of water stations on the course during the round. Two thumbs up to everyone involved!
