Waterchase Golf Course
About
Bring your best game to the Links at Waterchase--a long, difficult course that can be had if you get your mind right. Intimidating because of its length (7,304 yards), much of the extra yardage comes from five excruciatingly long par 5s. The key here is to manage these holes, get on the green or close in three, then do what you have to do for your pars.
If you play regularly at a local par 3 course, you might want to work in a practice round before taking on The Links, since there’s five par 3s.
Watch out for the enders on each side, which frame the scenic pond and waterfall that are sandwiched between the two greens. No. 9 is a 433-yard par 4, and requires a solid drive on the left side. Pay attention to the pin placement, as there is water behind the green. No. 18 goes 570 yards from the tips, and offers target golf at its best. You’ll need to lay up at least 120 yards from the hole, and keep the approach below the pin to assure yourself of an uphill putt.
Getting there : Located on the east side of Fort Worth at I-30 and Eastchase Pkwy. Take the Eastchase exit and drive north to John T. White Rd. Turn right and drive a short distance, then take the first right on Randoll Mill Rd. Turn left on Creek Run Rd.

Long and challenging
First time playing the course and all I can say is I can’t wait to go back and play again. This course kicked my butt, so I’m looking forward to trying to improve my scores here at Waterchase. You’re definitely rewarded for hitting fairways and big misses will often leave you with significantly sloped lies. Greens were running about an 11-12 so knowing the slope of the greens and staying below the hole is needed to score well. The course itself was in decent shape for the wintery months although many bunkers were in rough shape and erosion from the river that runs through the course has removed a tee box and a portion of some bunkering on different holes. Nevertheless, I found this course to be a solid challenge and would highly recommend playing this one often.
Good times and tricky greens...
Some friends and I played Waterchase on my way out of DFW. It was my first time, but they play there somewhat regularly.
When you arrive, it's a pretty humble place. The proshop is a double wide. The course that awaits you is a good time and good challenge.
On this particular day, conditions were very nice. Fairways and tee boxes were in good shape, and the greens were smooth and lightning quick. The greens are probably the main defense of this course, they have some pretty intense undulations. On this time around, the grounds crew must've been in a foul mood because almost every pin was set right on a slope or just a few paces from the edge of the green. It was a huge challenge and led to quite a few 3 putts from our group.
Overall, the course is very enjoyable, with par 5s that are good tests of your game. The round isn't cheap, and that's probably my only knock on this course. The layout and conditions probably are nearly inline with the price, but the other amenities are not (clubhouse, practice area, didn't see any beverage carts, etc). I actually don't care about that stuff very much, so I think this place is worth a visit, but if those are things that drive value for you they are worth considering before you book.
Excellent Course
Excellent course and friendly staff. Pouring rain the entire day before and course was still in excellent condition the following morning.
Great Experience
I can’t say a single negative thing about the all around experience today. Staff was super friendly, course was in excellent shape and practice facility was excellent.
No clubhouse but great track
Don’t plan to relax and have lunch after your round but who cares w the best public track in the area! Really enjoyed this track. Greens rolled true and held perfectly. Fantastic layout. Great value.
Waterchase
Great course, go play it if you get a chance.! Bring your A game or bring more golf balls! The only thing I didn't enjoy was paying $25. Up front then still paying the posted price when I got to the course. So a round that was suppose to cost me $46 ended up costing me $71. Not happy about that. Other wise great course, enjoyed the day.
Great course
I really enjoyed the course. The greens were still recovering from aeration, but I knew that when I booked. Tuff but fair test for your game if you hit it straight, if not bring more balls. The only thing I didn't enjoy was paying $25 up front through golf now and still having to pay the posted price when I got there. So a round that was suppose to cost $46, ended up costing me $71. Wondering now if golf now is the way to go. Not happy! Other than that, great day at the course!
One of the best
Great shape. Great design. Half the cost of the Frisco courses but same quality. Great place.
Awesome course
This course was a true treat ! This is a beautiful track that anyone is the dfw would be dumb not to try. Driving range is beautiful and practice facility’s are top notch. By far the best fairways I have ever played on.
Fast and true
This was my first time playing the course and I’ll be back! Lots of water comes into play, course management and avoiding penalties was all I had in mind on many holes. The greens were in great shape and really fast!
There is an odor from the water treatment plant nearby, the hazards have a distinct smell also so if you lose a ball you may want to just leave it!!
Overall, great experience, challenging layout and perfect greens!
Best money one can spend on golf in dfw
The greens staff should be commended for the quality track they are maintaining. This course is currently flawless as well as beautiful and challenging. Keep up the great work.
Great Track
Played on Fathers Day course was in great shape
Green were tournament speed with pretty difficult pin placements.
Ambiance, and surroundings of this course are gorgeous. One of the best if not the best public course i DFW under $80. Highly recommend giving this course a try. I think you will like it.
Just dont let the clubtrailer discourage you. yeah the proshop/clubhouse is underwhelming. But, sitting on the deck after a round overlooking the cart maintenance shed is still okay, But like i said , dont let it discourage you, it is the ONLY know on this place.
The staff inside is top-notch and pretty friendly.
Despite the clubhouse ...still a 5 star course
Windy April day
Course was I great shape. It’s such a fun layout. 18 is one of the best holes in the area. So much risk/reward. I will definitely play it again when I’m in the area.
