Waterchase Golf Course
About
Bring your best game to the Links at Waterchase--a long, difficult course that can be had if you get your mind right. Intimidating because of its length (7,304 yards), much of the extra yardage comes from five excruciatingly long par 5s. The key here is to manage these holes, get on the green or close in three, then do what you have to do for your pars.
If you play regularly at a local par 3 course, you might want to work in a practice round before taking on The Links, since there’s five par 3s.
Watch out for the enders on each side, which frame the scenic pond and waterfall that are sandwiched between the two greens. No. 9 is a 433-yard par 4, and requires a solid drive on the left side. Pay attention to the pin placement, as there is water behind the green. No. 18 goes 570 yards from the tips, and offers target golf at its best. You’ll need to lay up at least 120 yards from the hole, and keep the approach below the pin to assure yourself of an uphill putt.
Getting there : Located on the east side of Fort Worth at I-30 and Eastchase Pkwy. Take the Eastchase exit and drive north to John T. White Rd. Turn right and drive a short distance, then take the first right on Randoll Mill Rd. Turn left on Creek Run Rd.

Way Overpriced
Friendly staff but that's about where it ends. $70 was extremely overpriced in hindsight. The "Clubhouse" is a darn trailer, one cart girl on a very busy saturday, says the range is included in the price which is true, but they'll only give one bucket of 25 balls per 2 some. Nice course, just not even close to what they charge
The Chase is GREAT
With 5 par 5 s this course will challenge you . This is a risk reward layout . The greens where in pristine condition . The Pro Shop staff was excellent. This is by far one of the best driving range in the metroplex.
With a 12 to 15 mph wind you really have to pay attention. Will play this again pace of play was excellent.
Great course
Everything is excellent but only the the course was inferior in quality when I been there cause by flood. Nice staff. Wonderful marshal.
Nice course but average greens
The tees and fairways are in real nice shape. Many of the greens look rough, like mowers spilt hydraulic fluid or cutting blades malfunctioned. Course layout and challenge was fun.
A Lot for the Price
I was extremely impressed with the conditions of the course. The fairways were immaculate. The greens were in perfect condition. The gentlemen behind the counter was courteous and friendly. I believe we got a steal that day because they only charged us $36! I will definitely play here again.
Absolutely a great course
1st time playing in Dallas as we just moved to Dallas. Picked Waterchase Golf and couldn't be happier, friendly staff, great condition and a great test.
Waterchase Golf Club
Upon checking in we were asked if this was the first time playing here. It was so the gentleman behind the desk took a few minutes to show us the course map and gave a few tips on playing the course. Also during this time the person at the snack bar informed us there was no beverage cart and offered to set us up with a cooler. It is the kind of service you would expect from a resort, it was appreciated! From tee to green the course is currently is superb shape! It had rained the night before so it was cart path only and we still played in 4 hours. Even with the rain, the bunkers were in good shape. The greens are well maintained and roll true. I am not bothered by the Pro-shop and snack bar being in a trailer. I would rather see that than a grandiose clubhouse and poorly maintained course. Will play here again.
Hole 5 has a pond in middle of the hole that is hard to see from the tee box.
Great test of golf
Recently visited Texas on holiday and played Waterchase golf course. From when I arrived until I left the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The course was in very good condition even after the large amount of rain the previous day. Waterchase is a real thinking mans golf course which is right up my street, it will test all parts of your game and if your a playing well you will thoroughly enjoy the course. A must play when In Dallas at a great price. Loved it!!!
I love Waterchase!
I don't get over here to play it all that often, but I'm beginning to think I may have to rethink that. I forgot just how much I love this golf course! I play this course well, so that helps, but the course is in excellent condition, I was able to play in 3.5 hours, the staff was fine! and I love this layout. Greens are very smooth and true, fairways were awesome! Did lose a ball on Hole No. 5, but I wasn't the first and won't be the last!
Blown away
Best public course I have played in DFW for the price. Fun course and in great shape. Kicking myself it was the first time. Not the hardest course but a lot of fun . Greens were in great shape. Just as good as Texas Star or Fossil Creek and cheaper.
Disappointed in course condition but nice layout and staff
Fairways were extremely dry and rock hard. Very nice layout and staff was very nice. For the rate you charge I was expecting very lush fairways.
Great layout!
Best value for your dollar in DFW area. Played 5 courses while on vacation this past week and This one was in the best condition. The tee boxes were even and nicely manicured. The fairways had a nice amount of grass and were still firm and the greens were in great shape. The course does have some very challenging holes with some risk reward shots. Staff is very friendly.
Course was nice
Will be very good when the grass greens up in a few weeks. Greens were very good and not as fast as the ones that are dormant right now.
Good Course But Lacks Amenities
The course was nice. Greens Good. The smell from the water crossing was very bad. The facility needs a club house and on course service. For the green fee the visit was not worth the drive nor the $$.
I would probably play there again but it would take a good deal on the green fee to get me there again.
If you're not a member look out
I played this morning with a foursome and we had a threesome of members play up on us so we let them play through. After one more hole the marshall came up to us and said we were holding up the group of members behind us. The group we let play through was still on the green so we were waiting. This process continued four times in two holes.
Finally I offered to take a refund and leave if the harassment was going to continue. We then asked him to tell the members in front of us to speed up play so we are not waiting. He finally quit harassing us after 9.
By the way we finished in four hours with the course being backed up.
If you're not a member I wouldn't play here. If it wasn't for the harassment the rating would be positive.
Menacing in the wind
I have lived in DFW for years and have heard of Waterchase but, never played it before. It is truly a hidden gem. They tell you that you'll use every club in your bag. Believe them. Perfect sunny Texas morning with the exception of a still southerly wind. Local knowledge goes a long way. With no one right behind us we did drive up to see where the hole went. #17 was a surprise... The greens were slow but rolled true. the fairways were great, take a nice divot with your iron and the ball still rolled out off the tee. For my money they can stay in the modular clubhouse and put their $$$ in the course. I'll be back.
