About
The Trails of Frisco golf course is one of Jeff Brauer’s most unique designs -- primarily because it doesn’t fit the mold of his other courses. Brauer, who’s known for his open, straight-forward courses, designed this one to tip out to a par 71, 6,900 yards, loaded it with hidden creeks, scenic wetlands, extensive bunkering, and massive greens. In fact, first-timers will be confused here. They’ll face intimidating views off the tee that leave doubt as to the problems that loom ahead, and it is definitely possible to lose all of your balls off the tee if you’re struggling.
The golf course is just flat-out challenging, especially on the front nine. No. 1 opens up with a creek on the left that cuts in front of the green and generally makes its presence known on every shot. The play here is to stay right and stay away from its subtle presence on the left side. The creek comes into play on Nos. 2, 4, 5, and even No. 9, where it chutes from the fairway in front of the green and surrounds the green of this challenging par 4.
All told, water and waste areas are in play on 16 of 18 holes (including every par 3), and the creeks are enhanced by visible lakes and ponds on the back side, even though it is considered a bit easier than the front.

Trails course FANTASTIC...
Will definitely reccommend to everyone. Course well kept, keep it straight score great.
Solid Test
This is a very good golf course . Right now it is in great condition with carpet-like fairways , smooth and fast greens , and the native areas are grown up . Course knowledge helpful as lines off tee are not always obvious . Island fairways on several holes framed by native grasses is unique . Another nice design feature is par 3's from 140 to 245 yds .
Pro Shop and starter / marshals great . Cart girls and 19th hole staff must've had a bad night .

A little overpriced
Course was in good condition, the fairways are a little thirsty and used. The greens are very nice though. The pace of play was horrible, its almost as if they had no round management at all. It was very very slow. Other than that, I don't want to pay this much when I can go to a couple nearby municipal courses and get greener fairways, same greens, same challenge, better pace of play, and good food at 15-20 dollars cheaper a round. This was my last time going to trails.

great course!
We snagged a hot deal to play yesterday around 11:30. The starters were great and managed the starts very well. The marshalls were present on the course to ensure proper flow throughout the day. Even with a full course we played in 4 hours. The conditions were excellent. The staff maintained the greens and fairways in the dry heat of August very well. We will definitely be back.

Great course, no support
I love this course and bright my normal group for the first time. The price was a bit high, however the services were non existent. The club house had no staff and the of course beverage cart didn't start until we had played 15 holes. With August heat, hydration is a must. The course advertises club repair. Have played four times and never found him to be there. Left my number twice for call back that went without reply.

Great place to play in the Metroplex
We've been playing over a dozen courses in the Metroplex, and this one is our favorite. Well groomed, challenging, fair price. Definately worth the drive.

Good challenge but not unfair.
Green are challenging, sand traps were actually sand traps and not brick dirt. A couple holes you long hitters may want to avoid using driver so check the maps on the holes to see which ones have small streams crossing the fairways. I would recommend the course.
Great course average clubhouse
The course was great, and the pace was good as well. I think if the food and drinks were a little more interesting then they might have more people staying after their game of golf to relax and wind down
Good Course
Tough but fair course. Narrowest hole has the most undulating green.
Beautiful Course
The golf course was in fantastic condition and we found it challenging. The greens rolled really well and we were able to play the ball down with very few "bad lies". Practice facilities are also very good, fair amount of range and putting green space. My only complaint is the speed and service level in the bar. Overall this was a good experience and we will be going back to have a second look at the course.
Good round
Course was in great shape, probably due to higher than average rainfall. Pace was good.

Teed off at about 11:45 a.m, a threesome, finished just under 4 hours. Whole course in great shape we enjoyed our round tremendously.
Home course
Great shape right now and staff is always friendly.
Challenging
The course hassle challenging holes. The fairways are wide but if you miss hit and go into the rough, good luck. Par 3's end up as almost target golf. Creeks are running across fairways so you have to decide to go for it or lay up.
I enjoyed playing.
Needs a few things
10:30am tee time and no breakfast available? Very slow play by many groups on the front and back, marshall passed by and didn't say a word to them. Had a junior playing as a single behind us and continually walked up on our tee shot with clubs rattling. Didn't seem to have course etiquette at all. He hit into us a few times with no fore and no apology. His father was sitting on the green waiting for him on our approach shots and while putting. We play various courses a few times a week and I'm not sure this one will be in the rotation much.
Great track
Played the Trails for the first time, course was in great condition. Of course with the rain the last few months, be hard not to have great conditions. Will be interesting to see if these conditions remain through the summer. Greens rolled nicely, thought they could be a little faster.
New Home
I just recently moved to the Frisco area and have struggled to find somewhere that I'd feel comfortable. Well I'm happy to say that Trails of Frisco will be my new golf home. The clubhouse was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. the course was in great shape and very challenging. Fortunately I was paired with a few regulars who gave me an awesome tour.
