Frisco Lakes Golf Club
About
Frisco Lakes Golf Club is a part of the Del Webb Frisco Lakes Community, just north of Dallas. The front nine of the course is interwoven with the community itself while the back nine sprawls across open countryside. The five sets of tees range from just over 5,000 yards to just over 7,000 yards, allowing the golf course to be played as a leisurely round or a formidable test. The challenging, well maintained greens are the course's most memorable feature. Golfers should be prepared for a back-to-back peninsula green and island green on the seventh and eighth holes. The 14th is another tough water hole that runs alongside Lake Lewisville. Water is not the only hazard at Frisco Lakes Golf Club though, there are also plenty of strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Greens Are Excellent...No Really
Been playing this course since it first opened. Greens are the best I've seen, since this time. New owner added new tress all over the course a few yrs ago, now they are coming in, very nice. (in a few years this course will be much harder due to growth) And even more pretty. Once the fairways start growing in, which they will in the coming months, it will be even better. I'm hoping they let the roughs grow long again, made the course even more unique, but still very fair. Staff in pro shop are nice people, but some days can be a bit demanding when explaining items to you.
Best greens
Frisco Lakes is always a good round. The conditions of the greens this early in the season are perfect. Smooth and fast. All putts rolled true and consistent.
Not watering, bad conditions despite rain
Last year this course was in good shape. With all of the rain we've had in NTX, it's hard to find a course that isn't lush and green. Not the case for F. Lakes
Frisco Lakes still has dead grass fairways and the greens are only green because they sprayed them with dye.
Around the greens the grass is thin, dead and like hitting out of sand.
Avoid playing here until they decide to start watering or there's more rain.
Wish the cups were cut correctly & the range was opened
The layout is nice. The driving range was closed AGAIN. The cups were cut at Green level or above, making it terrible putting. They should be cut below green level. They are always cut like this. Thought maybe it's just an inexperienced greens keeper. When they learn to cut the cups correctly and open the range, it's a very nice course.
Valentines Day Golf - fast play!!!
The greens are in FAST excellent condition. if you miss the put its your fault not the condition of the greens. The bunkers are good condition not packed.
Plenty of tee boxes to play from which is rare.
Yardages are stamped on the sprinkler heads which is great. Its a fun course and I love the PAR 5's.
I would definitely recommend this course to all my buds.
Frisco Lakes
1st time playing this course and it was really fun. The weather this time of year can be bad but on this day it was nice. High got to 72 degrees.Overall course was in good shape minus a couple spots were they were working on it. Thats to be expected this time of year. the only negative about the whole experience was the driving range was closed for repairs so I was unable to warm up which as it turns out might be a good thing since I parred the 1st 3 holes.....
Good value
Greens in good shape and fast
Never again
Sucks I have to right a negative review considering the course was in decent shape.
However, everyone associated with this course truly lacks any kind of proper customer service or satisfaction. Our group was consistently trolled by marshals going on a power trip telling us what to do, when it was the group in front of us with the slow pace of play. We were then jumped by one two-some who we only found to waiting on the next tee box in front of us. After waiting on them to clear out in front of us, we were then jumped by another two-some only to have the same thing happen. They then joined up, and we were consistently waiting on them for the remaining 5 holes. Not only was this extremely rude, but the staff did NOTHING about it (after I was informed something would be) Bar-none the rudest golf course staff I have ever dealt with, and rudest golfers I have ever come in contact with.
Nice Course
The course has a very nice layout and is in pretty good shape. The greens are well maintained. The only complain that I have is the constructions around a few holes.
Never Again
We will never play this course again. Marshall's are ex hall monitors that have a chip on they're shoulder. The only problem is they don't know how to do the job. We were passed by 2 separate 2somes that passed us in front of the Marshall. Those 2somes joined up and we had to wait on them on every shot for the last 5 holes. Terrible experience.
Enjoyed the round
Always have a good time playing Frisco Lakes. The court in great condition and the pace of play was good
Normally a Good Experience at Frisco Lakes
I've been playing this course since their clubhouse was a double-wide trailer, and it has grown into a great course. My experience yesterday had nothing to do with the course, but with the fact that they allowed a group of 5 to play, the marshal did nothing to speed up play, and when we moved in front of them, they consistently hit into us, yelled during our play, and on two occasions came dangerously close to hitting us with golf balls. This all after the marshal suggested we move up, since this group did not show the common courtesy for us to play through. I am calling the Manager on Monday morning, and do expect to have my next two (2) rounds comped because of this.
Wet day grat deal
Wet from all the rain but great rate and course still in good shape
Excellent Layout
I really enjoyed playing this course as it rewards quality high risk shots. I will absolutely play it again. 5 sets of tees for every skill level. My only complaints were mostly weather related. It had rained earlier in the week so it was cart path only. Some of the low areas of the fairways were soggy, but cart path only sucks and I didn't think it was necessary. The driving range was closed. The traps were pretty beat up from the rain as well but I don't blame the course for that. Also, the starter was unnecessarily crabby but you only have to see him once. The people in the club house were great and the marshal was friendly.
Great course
It's always a pretty good experience to play in this course, one of my favorite in Frisco, easy but challenging at the same time. Greens were in very good shape, nice fairways and well kept bunkers, thanks a lot to all staff who works everyday at Frisco Lakes golf club.
Fun to Play
The course was in excellent condition. The greens were very true and smooth. The staff is very friendly. The course is very playable without being easy.
Hot deal Winner!
I was looking for a late day round and found a hot deal on my Golf Now app and wasn't sure how it would be considering it was so cheap.
I was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. They were finishing a tournament and I'm guessing they didn't want the rest of the afternoon to be empty so they offered some cheap tee times.
The course is challenging and fun. Greens were some of the best I've seen on a public course in Dfw area this year.
If you get a chance go play Frisco lakes!!
Rbragg
Great layout, fun.
The course was challenging and in great shape. Food facilities were poor and the staff in the bar seemed irritated that we asked for something to eat. She was much more concerned about making drinks for the bar patrons
Good but...
We weren't told about the Ladies Golf Association playing that morning and our tee time placed us right in the middle of all the ladies on the front 9.. Was a little frustrating no one gave us a warning or told us to go off no 10.. Other than that, the course is in amazing shape and everything else was spot on.. Definitely will be back but will avoid Wednesday mornings!
Weather Wasn't Great, But the Course Was!
A very nice course! The greens were some of the best I've played anywhere. It started raining on the front nine, and drizzled for the rest of the round. The course was so nice, we decided to finish the round!
After my round this last Saturday I think I'm taking this course off my DFW list.
The course is in poor shape.
