Frisco Lakes Golf Club
About
Frisco Lakes Golf Club is a part of the Del Webb Frisco Lakes Community, just north of Dallas. The front nine of the course is interwoven with the community itself while the back nine sprawls across open countryside. The five sets of tees range from just over 5,000 yards to just over 7,000 yards, allowing the golf course to be played as a leisurely round or a formidable test. The challenging, well maintained greens are the course's most memorable feature. Golfers should be prepared for a back-to-back peninsula green and island green on the seventh and eighth holes. The 14th is another tough water hole that runs alongside Lake Lewisville. Water is not the only hazard at Frisco Lakes Golf Club though, there are also plenty of strategically placed bunkers throughout.

great view and worthy of playing
Despite of hot weather, I had a great time at this course alone.
Just one thing that I felt regret was there were few shady places to avoid the sun during play.
Except that, I was satisfied with everything.
Please go play once there.
Nice Course
Nice course, greens are quick so stay below the hole. Fairways are nice but could use some water. Cart paths are in great shape. Beverages are priced very well, beverage cart could have made it to us a few more times during our round. A couple of the water coolers on the course were out of water. Overall I recommend Frisco Lakes
Excellent deal and conditions
I am a member of a private club in town but tried the course with a friend. We were surprised of the condition of the course and greens (extremely fast but rolled great). The only complaint was lack of a cart girl.
Fun Course
The course setup, fairways & greens were all in excellent shape. Only issue was the bunkers were destroyed from all the rain making it impossible to play out of. Hopefully they will get these under repair soon. Other than that - Great Course.
love the greens
The course was in good condition even with all the rain the night before. The greens were smooth and ran very true. I love the challenge of #7, and 8, water all around the greens.
Excellent condition
Course was in great shape. Pace of play was excellent (played in 4 hrs on a Saturday afternoon). Would definitely recommend.
A Completely Impressive Surprise!
I had play this course when it first open, temporary trailer and all, in 2008. I was not impressed and I filed this course under the "only if I had to play here" file.
I have family living on the property so I jump on a Hot Deal when I received a kitchen pass to play on Memorial Day. I was first off on the course and played as a single in two hours so that was great. With that said, I had no memory on how challenging this course was from the championship tees (7,100 from the tips) and the course's maintenance has advanced exponentially. If fact, the greens were utterly perfect and it had rain hard over the weekend.
I will look forward to playing this course again and I will bring my A game because this course has several tremendous golf holes. The calling card for this course are its demanding par 4's and its requirement for straight driving that will test any competent golfer.
Huge putting complexes with plenty of undulation separating the each holes available pin positions translates into a different golfing experience each time you play. Always a plus and a true hallmark for a quality golf course.
Great job to Frisco Lakes. I am officially impressed.
Another Day at the Lakes!
Had rained for several days so cart path only, course was in good shape, greens were excellent... pace of play was very slow.... only draw back form the round.
Frisco Lakes
The course is is great shape, except for the bunkers. The greens have never been as good as they are now.
Great choice for North Dallas
The course was in great condition after a heavy week of rain. The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcomed. The island green was a lot of fun to play. The course layout is overall pretty good. I enjoy playing courses in good condition and Frisco Lakes was in good condition today.
One of my new favorites...
This was my first time playing Frisco Lakes and it didn't disappoint. The weather wasn't very good for this time of year (60's, windy and overcast) so that made the course play a little tougher. It was a fun and enjoyable layout. It has a nice mix of holes (on the water, through the trees, over water, doglegs, etc). I really enjoyed #7 (drivable par 4 over water). I also like the par 5 finishing holes on each side. The greens were quick but still had a little sand (and maybe fertilizer) on them, I assume it was some kind of topdressing. I'll definitely go back but it's quite a drive from Richardson.
another great day of golf at Frisco Lakes
If you are looking for a great place to play golf in North Dallas, this is the place. Its a good layout and you are rewarded for good shots. This course has character and one of my favorite courses to play in North Dallas. If you haven't been here, you should give it a shot.
Very playable course
Excellent course for players of all levels. It is challenging, but it is also rewarding and enjoyable.
FL Golf
It was our first time at this course. I was impressed by the condition and staff friendliness.
Nice course
Good course, it was fun, pace of place was great, found a good deal on golfnow and staff was friendly.
My only complain is the greens, they had a lot of sand and were hard all the approach shots were rolling off. Hard to putt because you didn't now if the sand was going to slowndown the putt.
Cost
As a senior my partner and I would play the course at least twice a week if we could get the cost under $30..00.
Frisco Lakes is one of the better courses in the area
Frisco Lakes is one of the better courses in the area. Great value.
Play here!
Saturday 8 am. start. Beautiful course. Pace of play unbelievable, felt like the only people there. Rarely saw the group ahead & after 5 no one behind. Fairways & greens in perfect condition. Very challenging so bring your A game! Weekend golfers should play front & advanced should play back tees to get moneys worth. Had a blast & paired with a great group of guys. Play golf the way it was meant to be played at Frisco Lakes! Friendly staff & cart ladies! My only negative if you can call it that is the clubhouse lounge could be larger. Kinda cramped & seating is a problem if you want to stick around for a drink or snake after. Play here, you won't regret it!
Will be back
It started off a little slow due to all the rain we have had and it being cart path only. But on the back 9 it went to 90 degree and play sped up. I would recommend this course for sure and will play again.
Good for your handicap
I played this course on Saturday in March and the weather was beautiful. The course is in good shape and the greens were nice and soft. The course does offer some challenges but for the most part it is a straight forward golf course. Most holes are fairly safe off the tee and are reachable in two if you have moderate distance off the tee. Being that it has the word lakes in the title I expected there to be much more water throughout the course. There are three holes that feature a large amount of water and are fun to play. The course is good for all levels and if you are good tee to green then you should be able to score low. There aren't a lot of hazards to give you much trouble if you can hit it relatively straight. I would come back and I believe this is a good course for the money.
