The Golf Club of Texas

Had perfect weather. Course and greens were in good condition. Greens were fast. Course could use some more distance markers than just a 150ys marker but not going to dwell on it. Had a nice time. Friendly staff and decent price for the course.

The course looked very neat and trimmed. We enjoy

playing it and the excellent bar and restaurant serve great beers and food. It's worth the drive regardless where you start in the SA area.

Staff people are friendly and helpful at all times. We continue to return a few times a month.

We are on a business vacation and find this course from the net through rate.

It seems a little slow, but it is the weekend and we saw a fox and a beautiful walking bird.

US KIDS GOLF was on the same day and the staff help us on the communication with the group in front of us.

Overall a good experience and a fun day. The course was crowded, so had to wait on most holes.

WAY TOO many advertisements. via the GPS, very annoying. ALSO, the non-fairway areas could use a good mowing.

The facilities and staff seemed top notch. Nice driving range. It's hard to tell whether budget or kitsch was driving some things on the course. The hole numbers are hand-painted sticks and the tee markers themselves are hand-painted branches, with faded paint so if you relied on color rather than position, you might have had problems.

Only real criticism about the course itself was a few shabby sand traps near greens, and brutally firm greens. Could not get a ball to check up at all!

Challenging, yet fair. Very scenic and in great shape. Very friendly staff and accommodating. Regular price is higher than I would pay, but GolfNow deal was to good to pass up. Very glad I played.

The course was in great shape. The crowd was light so the pace was fast. All and all a great value for the money.

Pretty little course ! Challenging Bermuda rough. Greens in excellent shape. Few ball marks not repaired, refreshing change. New ownership- reversed 9's, not sure it was necessary?Well Worth the money.

After some six(6) years, the chance to play The G.C.o T. was seamed suspect. To my delight, I was totally impressed with the quality of the course, from tee-box, fairways, to greens. All I could say was, "The Golf Club of Texas is "all the way back" ! Calling my best friend and telling him, made it's final turn yesterday, as he experienced the returned 'course'. Great experience, layout, and challenge !

This course has become one of my favorite tracks in Texas for the money (important to keep that last part in mind :)). Greens are firm, but fair, and have been in great shape last 2 times I've played. My only complaints with the course are the shape of the bunkers (really need to add some sand) and that they don't have a cart girl on the course very often. Other than that it is a very solid track.

Side note- I'm a 5 handicap, which I normally wouldn't state, but I think it's relevant so you know I've played a lot of golf in my life. I just want to try and keep this little gem open!

Course was in great condition from tee to green. Played in the afternoon and pace of play was great overall. bunkers were very saturated, most likely from rains that we have had and had not drained yet leaving wet sand to hit out of. Bar area was very busy and looked like only 1 person working the counter. Waited 5 minutes to get service and had to leave to start my round. I would only suggest having more people on hand to help customers. People literally trying to hand over their money to buy drinks/food, etc... but no one to take it. Overall a great course and will definitely play here again soon !

We were a twosome, when we made the turn we got stuck behind two fivesomes. We waited for ever, called the pro shop, but no one came out. When we finally got done my buddy went inside to complain and they gave us free green fees, don't know if I want to go back. Fivesomes are not allowed in any of the other courses I play!!

Course is in excellent shape, green were true however pace of play unacceptable allowing a group of five tee off on weekend.

This course has everything going for it, prices are always reasonable and the fairways and greens are always plush! I play here at least once a month and have enjoyed the round every time. It has challenges, but good shots are rewarded!
