Waterview Golf Club
About
Rowlett’s first course has been laid out over a flat range of pasture, supplemented by 15 acres of lakes and over 1,000 new trees. Designed to be hacker friendly, the lack of mature trees provide an especially generous look and feel, tempting the mid-level handicapper to tee it up from the 7,191 yard tips and go long off the tee. Bent greens are the highlight of the round here–they roll true and provide solid opportunities to snake in a few long putts.
Getting there : Off of I-30 exit Dalrock Rd. and drive north through Hwy. 66. A half-mile past 66 veer left on Princeton, which dead-ends at Liberty Grove. Turn right into the Waterview division and take Waterview Pkwy. to the clubhouse

Pristine tee boxes
When I bought a tee time in the afternoon for $20 I thought I’d be playing an average course, but to my surprise it was quite nice. I played the tips, which is probably why the tee boxes were so nice. The greens are rolling fairly true and they play pretty quick because they’re firm. Expect your ball to roll from long distances. Fairways were in good shape as well. I have no complaints with this course and the price! Highly recommend it to anyone. Enjoy!
Too much sand
Greens were way too sandy. Other than that, which was hard to overlook, the course was nice. Why soooo much sand on the greens? Chips wouldn’t grab and putts bounced all over the place. I still had fun though and the course was challenging and the staff was awesome. I’ll return once they stop building sand castles on the greens lol
Jerk
The course was nice, in good shape. However, the starter was a complete jerk. He seemed to think that he could treat paying customers with a complete lack of courtesy and that it wouldn’t affect their business. Well, there are lots of nice courses in north Texas, think I’ll go play one where my group and our money are welcome.
Nice neighborhood course
Nice neighborhood course. Greens were in good shape!
Course conditions
The overall course conditions were great. The flags were not in and being the first group out made the playing conditions poor. They were not put up till home 12 and we had to tell a course attended as he was doing something else. On hole 10 I called the clubhouse but person in pro shop didn’t seam to concerned.
Awesome day
Great course, great pace great day. Course was in great condition and the pace of play was good. Would recommend this course to friends and family.
Windy Day but fun
Course is well laid out, fairways were clean with very few divots. Greens had no blight or burn marks,.
No rakes on bunkers, but very little traffic in them.
Wind was a nuisance all day long, and called for hybrid on most long holes to keep it in the fairway. The slightest off hit on 3W or Driver and you were up against the fences.
Tree lines along fairway made getting back on fairway a challenge and called for short stickin a 5I or pumping a 9I high and hoping it cleared the trees, went between them and landed green side or better.
Had a threesome in front of me that had no idea of golf etiquette of 'playing thru" or I would have finished in 3 1/2 hours, not 4 1/4. They should have let me tee off on #2 at the latest. Passed the wait time by re chipping green shots and daydreaming. Can't expect everyone to be courteous and respect fast play.
Let a group behind me join in on Hole 16 to finish off behind the slow moving folks in front (new golfers spraying left and right like drunken fireman). We have all been there at once.
Highly recommend course. Greens and fairways were pristine.
Fun Time
Pace of play was great and the course is in awesome condition. Really enjoyed the time out there with a great course layout.
Turn on the Sprinklers
The course was dry, hard, and fast; which was OK for long drives and approaches, but tough to hold greens. The greens putted well, however. Lots of different grass lengths on the way to the green.
Great Greens-FINALLY!!!!
The greens are the best they have ever been! Thanks for making that change. Now, I won't cringe when asked to play Waterview......
Greens were slow & rough. Rough around greens were wet & muddy. Fairways were in good shape. T--boxes could use some more grass.
Sloooow Greens
While I like the layout, and the staff is good, the conditions were not ideal. The greens look good, nice and green with few bare spots, they were super slow. You had to pound a putt even downhill! I know they changed the greens last year and I think they need more time to mature. Otherwise a great day!
Decent course and price
Single cart play because of covid. Played fast. Course was in amazing condition except for some soggy turf around a few of the greens.
Wear Your Rubbers
I started going to Waterview a few yeas ago. I was impressed with the course conditions; especially the greens. Now, not so much. Greens are extremely slow.
It had been three days since we had any rain and it was still very soggy around the greens. This is hard to believe when most of the greens are elevated. A good shot, landing in one of those areas, is doomed. If you ask me, the course would have been better served to spend the upgrading money on drainage systems and not on white sand and the club house.
Fun Day on the Links
My family and I had a great time playing this course. Loved it!
