About
Rowlett’s first course has been laid out over a flat range of pasture, supplemented by 15 acres of lakes and over 1,000 new trees. Designed to be hacker friendly, the lack of mature trees provide an especially generous look and feel, tempting the mid-level handicapper to tee it up from the 7,191 yard tips and go long off the tee. Bent greens are the highlight of the round here–they roll true and provide solid opportunities to snake in a few long putts.
Getting there : Off of I-30 exit Dalrock Rd. and drive north through Hwy. 66. A half-mile past 66 veer left on Princeton, which dead-ends at Liberty Grove. Turn right into the Waterview division and take Waterview Pkwy. to the clubhouse

Fairways were rock hard. Greens were slow and dry.
Mothers Day golf
I played on Mother's Day afternoon. It was empty. My husband and I played by ourselves. No one behind or in front of us. That was very nice. The weather was perfect. Cool breeze and the view of the ducks and their babies was wonderful. The one thing I noticed was there were too many weeds on the fairway. The greens were in good condition and rolled fast. Some greens were burnt unfortunately. The ground was very hard, and the ball would roll farther than other courses I have played. I played here a year ago and thought the course was in much better shape then. Hope they get it back to what it was last year. The layout is quite challenging. Fortunately, I paid a discounted rate that made it worth playing as a practice round.
Rip off on Golf Now Reservation
Canceled a golf now reservation in less than 24 hours. Golf now says the cancel is up to the course.
We played with 2 of 3 players. The course was swamped and cart path only. The ponding was all over the course with over a 200 square foot pond on one of the holes just short of the green. Really bad conditions. The course charged me for the 3rd player even though we canceled it the day before. I understand the rules but the conditions were so bad they should have been closed.
The staff at this course are the rudest I have encountered ever. My opinion on some of the staff was even prior to this tee time. Don't book and prepay. Golfer beware.
Horrible customer service
The course closes at 8pm, we were told as we got to hole 18 at 7:40 we could not finish and needed to turn in the cart even though we had been waiting behind a group in front of us all round and had a group behind us as well. Before the round we had to wait past our tee time for carts to be available and were on pace to be finished inside 3.5 hours.
Local favorite
We don’t have a shortage of courses to play in the area and Waterview is often the top pick. They offer a great value for the money and the staff are very helpful. The greens and fairways were in good shape the last time we played.
Had to play back nine twice
My only complaint is that they had the front nine closed during aeration. The greens were in excellent condition.
