About
Rowlett’s first course has been laid out over a flat range of pasture, supplemented by 15 acres of lakes and over 1,000 new trees. Designed to be hacker friendly, the lack of mature trees provide an especially generous look and feel, tempting the mid-level handicapper to tee it up from the 7,191 yard tips and go long off the tee. Bent greens are the highlight of the round here–they roll true and provide solid opportunities to snake in a few long putts.
Getting there : Off of I-30 exit Dalrock Rd. and drive north through Hwy. 66. A half-mile past 66 veer left on Princeton, which dead-ends at Liberty Grove. Turn right into the Waterview division and take Waterview Pkwy. to the clubhouse

Golf Etiquette Ignored ... No Ambassador
As a twosome one would expect to wait from time to time during the course of 18 holes. However, when the pro tells you there's no one in front or behind my expectations of a fast pace increase. I did expect to catch folks and maybe play through once or twice. However, it was clear that the slower groupings were simply oblivious after witnessing a player take 7 shots out of a bunker at the green while we waited in the fairway for 10 minutes. It is the first time I have ever skipped a hole. Very frustrating ...
This etiquette issue was also observed by player damage on the greens, lack of divot replacement, and messy sand traps.
It's a shame because one can tell that the course is fairly well kept overall.
Really good shape
Course was in really nice shape. Greens rolled very well. Will play again in the near future.

Course is in great condition tee to green, forgiving bit still challenging and fun, will definitly be playing again.

fantastic greens
Except for the first fairway (looks like they are repairing or adding drainage lines) the course was in great shape.
Excellent Greens
One of the few courses in N. Tx that has bent grass greens. Very healthy and true. Greens and most of the course is 5 star rating, except some bunkers are in process of restoration and currently ground under repair...mudholes. Definitely a must play course!
Great greens
Greens are fast and roll true! Pace of play a little slow but the greens and fairways are great! Cart girl came around when it was time for drinks!!!

Pace of play improvement
I have to say that the last 2 times I played the course, since the front and back nines have been flipped, the pace of play has been awesome. We played in just under 4 hours on Sunday afternoon. The course is in good shape, the greens were very consistent.
Thank you for the kind words. There was method to our madness as you appear to be local. The City of Rowlett owns this property and has passed a project to renovate the pavilion outside. As part of this, we wanted to finished by pavilion/clubhouse as it just makes more sense. A side effect that we noticed quickly was that golfers could no longer play an extra 9 on the old back side. This was a lot of the cause for our slow rounds on busy days. New signage and scorecards should be in place by the end of August.

Had a good round
Enjoyed a good round was a little bit windy but still had a very good day on the course.
Fun Course
Fun course to play. Staff was very friendly. Greens a little hard / fast but overall the course was in good shape.
Waterview GC
The course is a pretty good share. We played firewheel old last week, and Waterview is in much better condition. Worth the few extra bucks IMO.

did not honor booking through this site
We had a 9.59 tee time that was booked through this site. After we paid and got down to the tee box, we found 4 groups ahead of us. Then we were told that there were no 9.59 tee times and that we would not only have to wait for the groups in front of us, but an additional 3 groups whose tee times were after ours. Then, we were paired with 2 significantly older men (78) and a walker. We finished up at about 4.30. 6.5 hour round.... If they won't honor the tee time, why book it?
I'll go back, because I live here and this is not the norm, but I wouldn't be able to recommend this course anymore.

Golf Now rate was the same as any walk-up rate on Monday, therefore the Golf Now surcharge here is a waste of 5 bucks.

this course was good not to hard for player. greens good but a little hard on that day.
Enjoyed my first time!
Friends that play here regularly had suggested this course. The staff were very friendly. Cart girls came by often. The course was in great shape and required good shot selection. Played during the week and pace of play was very good.
Changes
The course was going through some changes. They're in the process of making the back 9 the start of the course. The tee boxes are really rough. However the par 3 17th is a fun and challenging hole.
