Championship at Seven Springs Country Club

I have played here many times, but not lately. The greens are exceptional. They hold incoming shots, and roll fast and true. Not many public courses in the area can compare.

PLUS-you have to use strategy all the way around the course. You cannot hit driver on all par 4's and 5's because you may hit short or long of the best approach path. Traps were in good condition and raked. Some fairways were a little thin, but the rest of the course easily made up for that. Recommended!!

This course is a go to for my wife and I when we don't want to go far to play or want a last minute round. Greens are always in great shape and the course layout is fun and challenging. If you are in the New Port Richey area and haven't played Seven Springs check it out.

The course is in good condition, greens a bit slow but firm. Challenging course with OB, water and sand traps on narrow fairways. Great and friendly staff. I’ll be back!!

I don’t know what to think of this course anymore. Is it lack of management, effort or is it lack of money? This course has already raised the prices because it’s after 15 Oct and they’re ready for charging the snowbirds more money but the course is still in lousy condition. The greens are okay but nothing to be proud of. All the fairways are missing grass and there are no good lies. I don’t know what moron decided to disk the fairways 3 months ago but they’ve never healed. You can still see all the lines in the fairways and all the bare spots. It’s not hard to grow grass in Florida so I just don’t understand why this course is in such poor condition. Today on hole #2 there was a worker trimming the palm trees. While I was on the tee box this guy just sat on the ground and had a telephone conversation while the Stihl 4 stroke hedge trimmer lay there running. Do yourself a favor, get rid of all the lazy workers that just milk their jobs! I know you have a new energetic Superintendent that wants to improve the course but does he have any control over these contracted workers that are lazy?

Oh by the way, I didn’t appreciate the starter meeting me at the ice fountain and rushing me to go to the #1 tee box. I showed up for my tee time (1057) 20 minutes ahead of time and I never checked in. The starter comes over to rush me and say I paired you with the group now on the tee. He said he would check me in and I never got to roll a couple of balls on the practice green. As it turns out, the couple already left the tee and the course had the Ladies league in front of us, so I just don’t know why this starter was rushing me when it was slow anyway. This starter seems to do whatever he wants to do.

Lastly, if this course can’t improve, it’s not even worth the $25 I paid to play. Asking for a friend; what happened to the green tee markers? They look like they’ve eliminated them, yet the score card still has them listed😳

The course seems to be improving. I hear they have a new person in charge and that he is working hard to get the course in shape.

Fairways and greens were pretty good. Alolt of the tee boxes need some improvement.

Enjoyed my round and will be abck to play again.
