Championship at Seven Springs Country Club

About
Seven Springs Country Club offers two golf courses, the Championship and an executive course. Located in New Port Richey, the courses are just minutes away from Tampa Bay and the scenic Gulf of Mexico beaches. The Championship Course offers a challenge for players of all skill levels, especially if it's a windy day. There are a few bunkers scattered along the greensides but water is the most prominent hazard. There are numerous lakes and ponds throughout that come into play on almost every hole. Towering pines and cypress trees also frame most of the holes. Thanks to the challenging layout, lush fairways, and manicured greens, the golf course has earned the reputation of being one of Pasco County's best. Seven Springs also offers a practice facility with an excellently conditioned driving range with four target greens and a hitting area that is 300 yards in length.

7 Springs - Championhip
Very nice course. Great layout - can be as hard or easy as you want. Choose the right tees.
Greens are in great shape.
Best value in Odessa
My friends and I love this course, got thru all 18 with a 4:30 tee time for 35 bucks! Course is in good condition, carts are decent and staff is great. This is our go to course in the area.
Great greens
The greens were the best part of the course. Fairways on every hole were brown and bare in most spots. Tee boxes were decent but some were in need of some TLC. Cart girl was great and she stopped us twice on each nine and the turn bar was good too.
Worst course I have ever played
Worst course I have ever played. The greens were riddled with crab grass and had very large bare spots. The course and clubhouse show its age. Neglect is obvious.
Surprise
What a great surprise, we've had no rain for weeks and it has been extremely hot, Course was in great shape and there were no bare spots on the greens. The greens were absolutely gorgeous, quick and pretty true. There were a few sparse spots at the edges and close to trees, which is totally understandable. Loved it and what a surprise
review
Seven Springs, while not overly long, is a fun course to play....and it's close to home here in Hudson. Course conditions were very good...nice smooth fast greens and nice wide fairways.....for the most part...however, there are a few holes that require a straight drive off the tee....as water and woods can come into play if you stray a shot or two......looking forward to returning again soon.....
Seven Springs championship
Greens, layout, staff, tee boxes very good but fairways, rough poor condition, lots of dirt and weed.
Poor Conditions
Fairway on the first hole sets the tone, with large patches of grass missing. Most of it is hard-pan dirt, and is typical throughout the entire course. A lot of the issues are caused by tree overgrowth, which should have been dealt with years ago. It's not worth the $70+ (Sunday morning tee time).
Greens are currently decent, but easily 1/3rd the size from when the course was built. Most are just now small circles, caused by poor mowing lines over the decades.
It's also one of the worst Ron Garl designs in the area... a bar that was already set embarrassingly low. The back nine is legit dangerous, with holes playing directly into other tee boxes. Keep your head on a swivel!
Seven Springs needs to cut down a bunch of oak trees (especially internal ones), vastly expand the greens, grow grass in the fairways... and it might be playable. But the routing and hole designs would still be terrible.
