Good Day
The course was in good shape. Some holes could use a little maintenance but overall not bad. I think the weather over the past few weeks has played some havoc on most courses here in Florida. We will come back. The pace of play was great and Tiano’s is one of the best 19th holes. Great food, drink, and friendly staff.
Perhaps the best greens I have played at a municipal course in Florida. Lots of undulations , perfect speed and not a bad spot to be found. There is nothing spectacular about the layout but it is very playable for any skill level. The fairways on the back nine did have some weeds, but other than the aesthetics- they did not impact play. The staff was very friendly and the pace of play was no issue. Despite the hot weather, the proximity to the beach provides a nice breeze makes it comfortable. Based on the greens, I would definitely play here again.
Father/son vacation get away
The course was excellent. Greens were superb. Pace of play was excellent on the front but a group went off the back 9 in front of us and we waited every shot. Over all very satisfied and will play again. $25 on Golf Now.
Will play again
It was a nice municipal course. Nothing very special but was nice. Greens was fair and fairways was good.
Love this Muni track
Better than average Muni track. Long enough, gettable enough, greens are kept nice and overall worth the time and money. They have food, drinks, a range and practice area and nice ladies running the joint. Carts are clean and nice…hard to beat for some variety. I’m a fan and definitely swing thru New Smyrna GC every time I’m down that way for a few days…do t get me wrong, I like Spruce Creek and Venetian Bay better, but when you don’t wanna pay big $$ for LPGA, then Mew Smyrna is an enjoyable bit of variety!
Greens are beautiful but maintenance ongoing
Greens are fully recovered from aeration and are back to being beautiful. They are redoing a lot bunkers and ground under repair where they appear to be sodding.
Going to look really nice when finished. Fairways have been chemical treated so dead weeds every where. Course in good playing shape, just have to play around maintenance spots. Greens are prestine which is important.
Good for the money
Decent layout but time of the year matters at this course. While the greens are good this time of the year they are not great like Dec-May. The range and fairways struggle to grow grass so hitting off sandy lies is a frequent occurrence. Pace of play is frequently a problem at this course. No ranger, moderate rates and the ability to spray balls onto other fairways on many holes creates frequent backups. Fun course that I play frequently. Hot days are an issue since there is no beverage person on course and the two water buckets are frequently empty and seemingly rarely monitored.
