Great day to golf
Greens are smooth and true. Some wet spots on course but that's expected only a month removed from a hurricane. Bridges are rebuilt and staff is working hard and are wonderful.
Enjoyable and great shape
Considering the recent hurricane, this course is in excellent shape - great staff.
Loved it
First to. e played the course. I think a great winter course due to not much shade. For a July or summer play... it'll be a cooker
Great course
4 holes missing 4,5 ,6, & 7 under repair
Made up with replaying 1 to 3 a second time
Fast greens, wide fairways, clean roughs
Missing holes
There were 3 holes closed because of the hurricanes and you had to go back and play 1-2-3 again. There should have been a price reduction and TeeOff should have made a mention of it before booking.
Recovering from Ian
Holes 4/5/6/7 were closed as a consequence of damage from hurricane Ian
The rest of the course was in excellent shape there was some confusion with
Groups jumping around from hole to hole rather than playing in sequence
However excellent value for the price
Still under repair
Holes 4,5,6, & 7 still under repair from Hurricane Ian, but you replay 1,2,3,8 & 9. The rest of the course in great shape!
Interesting greens can go a long way
New Smyrna Golf Club is a great reminder that the heart and soul of just about any good golf course is its greens. One of Ross' last designs (which was finished five years after his death) features 18 varied, mostly pushed-up putting surfaces where the golfer's position off the tee matters greatly to his prospects of sticking an approach shot close to the cup. It's not a long course, but it's one that makes any player think his way around. Plus, at less than $50 to play, it is an example of why inexpensive golf does not by any means need to be boring. Locals are lucky to have this place.
This is about Tee Off more.
Get to course did not know that 4 holes are closed. Course said they notified Tee Off. No update from them. Customer service God Awful. No help. You do get to play 19 holes the way they have it set up. Course in ok shape. Pro shop always great. I’ll be back after things get fixed.
T boxes and putting greens in great Shape
Considering a major hurricane Ian came through here last than a month ago the course was in very good condition.
Incredible greens
The greens are the best better than any other course-period
Tees are very good most sand trap have new sand
some spots in the fairways need some tlc
DR is closed waiting on netting
Can’t play holes 4 5,6,7 bridges washed out but u get to play 1,2,3,8,9 twice and the back 9
Very enjoyable course
My wife and I enjoyed the pace of play on a Tuesday. The greens were great as well.
Nice course
It was in good condition especially after the hurricane. It is a lovely course but needs a bit more time to recover back to its best
The staff I have to say were excellent
Super fun greens in great shape
They keep this Donald Ross track in great shape. More than worth the value and the 45 minutes to get there.
