Forgiving fairways. A freeze the week before we played left the grass very dormant.

Wanted to try out the new greens, this was the first time I have played the course since they had been done. Greens and bunkers are very nice, still a little firm but definitely not rock hard or unfair and the bunkers are beautiful. Fairways are descent for this time of year - way to many leaves on the ground though making it hard to find a ball even on the fairway.

The issue is pace of play - 2 hours 55 minutes on the front 9 ........... absolutely unbearable watching the carnage in front of us. You don't have to be a good golfer to play in a reasonable amount of time and if you are a good golfer you're not a tour player if you are playing this course. Play ready golf! Learn to drop off a player so they can hit while you drive to your ball and get ready. Don't wait for a green to clear if you are 230 yards out but only drive your ball 180 yards off the tee. Look for your ball for 5 minutes, not 12. Park your carts to the side of the green - not the FRONT so we have to wait for you to walk back and get out of the way.

Rangers would obviously help but that's not going to happen so if you are a good golfer looking for a challenging course without a 10 minute wait between shots I would advise playing somewhere else.

Courses very dry greens are hard hard you cannot fly your ball to the green and expected to stay. Doesn't look like the courses been watered at any time. Fairways wide, rough not very deep, bunkers have good sand. Greens and bunkers have been rebuilt last year. I can't wait for this summer to have water on the greens and fairways.

Course getting ready for a tourney aand the greens were great for this time of year

The sand traps and the greens were renovated last year. It has made a nice improvement to this course. Loose white sand in the traps. The greens were in good shape although they did not hold approach shots well, at all, a bit hard. The staffers friendly. We had a good time.

A very nice course at a good value. Always enjoy playing there. Pace of play was a little slow this time on the front 9.

The only bad thing I have to say today is that it was extremely slow.......6 hours to play 18 holes because of 2 or 3 groups of 4 in front of us who didn't know when to "pick up" or play "ready golf". Never saw any marshalls out to monitor slow play......other than that I'd play again but early in the day

We thoroughly enjoyed this course. No quirky holes. It was fairly straightforward golf.

The weather was poor but the course overall was in decent shape. The tee boxes, greens and green side bunkers appeared to be recently renovated and were in great shape. The fairways and rough left a little to be desired condition wise. The course has some length on the par 4,s so play the right set of tees. Keep up the good work on the renovations. I'll definitely be back to play again.

This was a great course and very reasonable. They have new greens but they putted very true but hit short because they won't hold your shot. course was in excellent condition.

The fairways in the front nine were rough, but better on the back nine. (Probably in worse shape because it's Hanuary.)Fairways were wide with few challenges. Uninteresting layout on the front nine, much nicer on the back nine. Greens were challenging and fun to play. Bunkers and greens in great shape.
Staff were very friendly. Good value for the money, hut not a 4 star course.

First time playing the course since the renovations. Fairways were thin, greens rolled well but did not accept approach shots. Some greens and next tee box are closely positioned. Be courteous to the group in front teeing off. Will return

wife and i were paired up with player who was very slow and took forever to hit ball, which was never in fairway

Everything about our round at this course exceeded our expectations. The staff, from the check in, the starter, to the grill ladies were the most courteous I've ever experienced. Thank you so much for making our day a great one.

I guess all of the courses in the Ocala area and beyond are suffering from the dry autumn and early winter. Unless the courses have a decent watering system, the tee boxes and fairways are taking a beating. My review is based on the actual conditions of the course and not what I think the course is at all times. The greens and traps were very good and the layout of the course challenges all levels. I feel for the staff on these courses that don't have the necessary water systems and depend on the natural rain fall.

New greens smooth as silk and quick- although being new they will not hold a shot very well yet. Traps excellent sand very soft and fluffy. Fun course

This course is really sweet. the greens are new, which means hard and fast. Bunkers have been redone and have really nice sand. The fairways and tee boxes were in very good shape. However the excellent conditions were tempered by the fact the pace of play was Awful! Our round took over 5 1/2 hours. There was no ranger to be found. You can't play decent golf with 15 min breaks between shots. There was no cart girl either on a Saturday! This is a really good course but the other factors hurt the experience.

I really enjoyed the course layout, and the new greens and bunkers were perfect.

Well maintained, friendly staff, and very appreciated ice water station.

We were early for our tee time, but ended up teeing up late. Play was extremely slow, and it appears they had too many players trying to go out. No one wants a slow round. Other than that, the greens are firm and true. I can normally stop a ball easily on a green and it was very difficult to do so. The fairways were really forgiving and in great shape. The traps were well manicured. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will come back for sure as it was a good experience.
