Marion Oaks Country Club

Marion Oaks is well laid out with beautifully maintained greens; however the tee boxes and fairways are in very poor condition. Crabgrass, clover and bare areas permeate the fairways. My nieces son and I played and since it was only his 3rd or 4th time playing we enjoyed the day for only $24.10.

Some of the greens on the front have bare spots and the fairway grass is sparse in places...overall, good value.

If you don't mind weeds everywhere with no definition of tees, fairways or rough and slow greens this is your place. The only good thing is you don't get paired up and they leave you alone and let you play.

Enjoyed playing this course but the greens were in need of work as well as most of the fairways.

For the money, it was better than going to a driving range. Course could use some work on the fairways and greens, but for some cheap fun, it was ok.

I play here every Wednesday with a Golf League. All of us enjoy the course. The staff is always more than friendly and helpful. I will also play here on Sundays and have the same quality experience.

This course is in terrible condition. The fairways are just weeds and dirt. The greens are not much better. Don't waste your money, go somewhere else.

The greens were fsst and over seeded as was the fairways. The dry weather is evident everywhere on the course.

I enjoy playing this course (my Husband doesn't....he thinks it's desolate and depressing! ).
Have played it on and off for the last 12 years and sorry to say the condition is very poor. If it could be maintained to a good standard would be one of the best around. It's very sad to see such a well designed course looking so unloved. Staff always very friendly and carts well maintained.

While the course has a great layout there were tons of weeds and all of the greens were black or orange. The starter was very rude and has no customer service skills at all. He also started multiple groups around the same time which ended up backing everyone up. My husband and I spent more time waiting to tee up versus playing and we even ended up not even playing the last four holes because the experience was absolutely terrible. I would go back to this course if it was the last course on earth.

Layout was good but that is it. Fairways were like the rough and the greens had no grass.

Course was in awful condition, which is tough to do in the winter months in florida! Everything is winter rye. Greens and fairways look like my back yard after a wild bore fight. Nice staff and layout of the course is good, but they should pay you to play

It started to rain when we were on the 5th hole. We were given a rain check for another 18 so are very happy with the people and the course.

Course is in sad shape even for summertime.Fairways overgrown with weeds everywhere.Greens were flat but all had bare spots. Tee boxes were overgrown and bowed.Knew I was in trouble when I got out of my car and there was not another in the lot.Steer clear of this course.

I have played this course a few times now. I always feel it could use another set of tees. Had to play 6500 yards, the next one down is 5300. Greens had some bare spots, inconsistent roll compared to the practice green. Fairways in decent shape, but too much weed style wide blade grasses.

Greens were in such bad shape the front nine was closed. Fairways were full of crabgrass and if your ball went into the rough you probably wouldn't find it. We quit after nine. I played this course regularly about 20 years ago and loved it. It's a shame it has gone so far downhill. The Saturday I played (estimated date) there were a total of four cars in the parking lot, including staff.

This course could be had, except for the greens.the greens were in great shape but the ball had to enter the front of the hole or it was rejected. Over all a great layout.
