Great public course
BEST public course I have played. Greens were fast and in perfect shape except for a few ball marks. This course is a hidden gem.
Not a municipal anymore
I use to play the Palm beach municipal course that I would book on golf now. I did not find it anymore and thought it was out of the list... so I booked this course to realize it had changed name. The changes are not only the way it is called it's also the way it is maintained WOW! Very nice! Impeccable! Fairways, greens everything! Fun to play and the nature surroundings are great! I recommend it! Gps in the carts, fly by animations loves it!
Very good shape
Very good course overall. Some of the par 5's are a little funky. Club selection is critical to stay safe.
Sandhill crane
It was just a last minute ordeal we picked it went there and was completely surprised. The golf course was in fantastic shape the Greens rolled Fast and true I would highly recommend it.
Worth the drive.
Great course albeit tips out at 6500 yards. Great condition and greens are very good. Highly recommended.
Sandhill Crane 12/18/16
Sandhill Crane is usually always in good condition. The grass on the greens is nice and no blemishes but they are slower than they appear to be. It can be a challenging course in the wind or if you dont play the proper tee boxes, but its not a long course. There are many course like this in Florida because so many courses were built in a swamp. Northerners and Canadians seem to like it.
Course was very slow play
They were holding ladies tournament causing very slow play took over 31/2 hours to play 9 holes. If advised of this, we would not have played this course.
The course is challenging
I really enjoyed the course. They are doing renovations to the clubhouse so the pro shop and food are in portables. The carts have GPS which is great. The greens and fairways are in great condition.
Tricked out course
Ok well. I'm going to use hole 13 as an example. Par 5 442 dogleg left then right. Basically a six iron a nine iron a wedge into greens. Weird! You really have to pay attention to distances
All facilities beautiful range into water. Spares pro shop even less food services
For a 7:22 tee time they where still setting up and seemed disordered at all levels.
Bunkers ok at best. Not well raked
Amazing
First time was a great experience, friendly staff, played in less than 4 hours.
Course conditions were superb.
Great place to play
This is a great place to play if you can get a hot deal or pay under $40.00
Tee boxes are in good shape as well as the fairways, greens are a little slow but in great shape.
Pace of play has always been an issue here as you can expect a solid 4-4.5 hours of slow golf.
I would also recommend that someone in management have a conversation with the cart girl as she drives in front of you during play on tee boxes and around putting greens.
If you are just looking for a solid course that's always in good shape with some nice natural Florida scenery and wild life this is a really good option.
Very well maintained. Very lady friendly for my wife.
Very much enjoyed the course.
Great Course. Had a Great Time.
In Palm Beach Gardens your selections of public courses is somewhat limited. I played this course during a tournament and had a great time. Greens were in good condition and the fairways looked nice.
Great greens.
This golf course was in very good shape. The greens were excellent. The pace was good. There was a very attentive ranger that was very concerned the the pace was good. A pace a bit short of 4 hours is good for south FLA. They are building a clubhouse. The club will be rounded once it opens. But in all, a good golf experience at this course.
Would play here again
fun course, good mix of short and log holes & narrow and wide open, good condition, clubhouse is under construction but temp facilities are adequate
Great golf course with great features
Great experience from beginning to end. The course was in great condition and you will encounter tremendous challenges on every hole. Please, bring your "A" game. Very friendly staff that make you feel welcome and that keep you very well informed of everything you need to know about the golf course if playing for the first time. I would strongly recommend it.
New GPS
The golf carts have been installed with a new gps that is wonderful. You can touch the screen to find out how far it is to wherever you want your next shot to be.
Puts the "Fun" back in Golf
I think anyone can enjoy playing this course. Although it's short (under 6400 yards) for the big hitters, it has some longer and very challenging par 5's and 3's if played from the back tees. The layout is just plain fun and offers some great scenery. Greens were fast but fair and in very good shape. The fairways were well conditioned but cut a bit short for my liking; nothing I couldn't get used to, however. Also, the layout makes you think about club selection and ball placement; not the kind of course you pull driver on every hole.
Superior Public Course
This is a very well-maintained public course. They tore down the old clubhouse and will be building a new one. Food and beverages are served at a makeshift arrangement with a very nice deck that's covered. As a result, there is a limited number of items one can order.
Rates have just gone up from the mid 30s to the mid 50s which is making it much more expensive to play there. However, on balance this is a very good course to play.
