Good course great value for the $$
Played on Monday late AM - fast round !!!
Course is in great shape
Going back later this week!
Will definitely return
loved it. My favorite course since moving to south Florida.
Nice Municipal course & value
Always enjoy playing Palm Beach Gardens Muni.
If you appreciate nature you'll love this track.
Short but challenging with friendly staff.
Course was aerified but still had great fun .
Great value
Short from the white tees but fun layout. Greens were very nice and overall the course was in good condition. I'd definitely play it again next time I'm in the area.
Good day
It was a hot day. Front nine played fast, then back nine was too slow. Not sure how that happened. Staff with friendly from the starters to the cart girl. Next time I am in West Palm area would definitely play again.
fabulous golf course
Its all good. The price is right. The onditions are fine. Greens are not too grainy. The layout is fun. I played the Golds. The range is the only low light. Water balls into a pond. Other than that it's all good.
Sure Beats Working
Had a great day - conditions are excellent - fairways in great shape - greens rolled true - if I could only put would have had an amazing day - as it was - so much fun - even had to watch out for a gator - went to get my ball under a tree close to the water - as I tried to get it - heard a 6 foot gator move - figured - it's only a golf ball :)
Great value, WAY tougher than it looks
I had been here four times last year and was rained out each time...furthest I got was 1st green. Today was humid, but otherwise the weather was good as it gets for this time if the year here.
I love the course. Scenic, great layout, well maintained...astounding for a muni. $22 for here is the most golf you will ever get for the money, anywhere.
I get the impression this course is busy busy even in the off-season...I waited til 5:00 to tee off and we had four groups in a row. There was a family+1 in #4, 5? oblivious to the goings-on...playing lesson? At any rate, be prepared to be play really fast or really slow.
It was with bitter laughter I read the 67/117 slope from the whites on the scorecard. That must be 90% based on the very short 5400 yards, because 72/131 is what I would guess. One blind shot after another, and it's a double whammy needing to shape it both ways because if you overcook anything 5%, your ball is gone. A draw will run into the junk and if it's windy a cut will blow into the water hazard. The deep rough for short game is really nice, but I sure didn't see much rough. This course is like Merion, muni style: short and brutally hard for anyone who doesn't play there regularly. Many times even with the great GPS I had to turn around, because I couldn't tell which way the hole was going.
For 90% of folks, I would say leave driver and 3w at home, bring 3-4 hybrids and a set of SGIs. If your goal is par, you would hit nothing but 7is, wedges, and putts, hybrids on the par-5s. Greens are grainy and fast, which is just fine at a time of year all greens are punched or look like the moon. My best holes I hit 6i off the tee...although par-3s are all easy wedges with huge greens.
Great conditions and layout
Played 5 different courses on vacation with my wife. We both really enjoyed the conditions at this course. Greens were the best we played. Course is in great shape and they were working on it to maintain those great conditions. Challenging but fair layout. Many tee choices.
Nice but slow
Nice course in good condition but the pace of play was horribly slow. There were a number of beginner players, which is fine, but they didn't know to "pick up" or allow a smaller group through. A ranger on the course would have helped. Good design and reasonable price.
better
Just visiting FL. We played 3 different courses, and of all of them we liked this one the best. It had good conditions and less water hazards.
Great 18
We played in less than 4 hours and enjoyed the course very much. It was in great shape and presented some fun challenges. The greens, fairways and tees were all in very good shape.
One of my most enjoyable round of golf
I was paired with a gentleman from Illinois, who like myself, was more interested in enjoying the round without being concerned about the pace of play. We went out as a twosome. There was a foursome in front of us, thus we were able the take more time preparing our shots, especially short chip shots and lining putts.
End result....we both enjoyed the outing and scored below our handicap.
We did not purchase any food or beverages.
Absolutely play here!
Flew into West Palm Beach and headed straight to the course from there. First time playing this course but from the reviews it sounded like a nice place. The layout is fabulous! The front nine is fairly wide open but well bunkered with plenty of "gator" ponds. We saw a smaller one on the eighth hole and it made our day. The back nine is like a wild nature preserve with all kinds of birds etc.. A beautiful serene place if you like that kind of thing. That is my kind of golf. Not like many of the other Florida courses that can only add a pond to give them some personality. Play here and you will not be disappointed . Also they try VERY hard to keep your round under 4 hours. Almost unheard of these days.
Fun Time
After driving by a number of times - figured it was time to play here - had a great day. Paired up with others and enjoyed their company. Condition of the course was very good. Hit it straight and the water won't bother you. I will be back again
Thank you for the positive comments. So glad you gave our course a try! We believe it to be a true "gem" in Palm Beach County. Come back soon!

Even More Impressive
Man! I haven't played this course for quite awhile, and while I always loved the course design and the challenges it brought, yesterday I was even more impressed! What a great staff, fantastic ground crew and wonderful changes to the course. Since Shari has become the managing pro this course and facility has become even more of a must play venture!! Great job Palm Beach Gardens, I would vote you the #1 Muni Course in Palm Beach County! P.S. The bunker on 17 is genius when the pin is back/right!
Conditions great!
Overall great fairways and greens. Some par 4 and 5s were not shaped well enough for driver as I would go too far. Great value and fun course. Would have been a superb day if I didn't have to take care of some business on 8&9 then my playing partner getting busted for bringing a cooler of beer at the turn LOL.
Very challenging
Very narrow, fairways were well maintained. Greens were a tad slow, but also challenging. Course is short but plays long. Lots of water that doesn't come into play if you hit the ball straight.
Thank you for playing our course and the wonderful comments! The golf staff work very hard each day to be one of the best courses in the area. Come back soon!
Thank you for your comments about course conditions! I apologize for the slow play. If it was the day I am thinking of, we had a group that created the situation. Our Rangers were focused on them so you may not have seem them on the course. Please email me directly at cpresensky@pbgfl.com with the date and time you played and I would be happy to issue you a rain check to play again.
