Excellent layout. Greens were very poor. Lots of sandy areas on the greens and areas of dirt. Overpriced for the condition of the course. Will not play this course again.
Pine Lakes Palm Coast
Staff very friendly and helpful. Carts smooth electric.
Bunkers need sand (muddy).
Greens need grass (bald).
Ruined Jewel
Pine Lakes is an Arnold Palmer design with each hole distinctive and interesting. However, the greens are in abominable condition, simply the worst imaginable. Sand traps are also below acceptable. Pro shop staff are friendly and welcoming, but an un-pleasant encounter with a hostile groundskeeper left us certain not to return. Management would be well advised to make maintenance staff changes to avoid financial failure of this historic gem of a course.
Nice layout that isn’t terribly long but has some very interesting par 4s that reward control over length. I would have given them all fives but the greens are a little sparse . Management has obviously trying to keep them smooth and playable but there just isn’t a lot of grass on them right now. I look forward to coming back when the greens improve.
Good layout for seniors
Tee box's in good to average conditions. Greens are in poor shape. Staff, starter are excellent. Average value. Booking and times are good. Will play it again.......
No greens
I played this course 2 years ago and really liked it. Today the course was in horrible shape, particularly the greens. Almost no grass at all. I must say they did roll fairly well and you could make putts. It was discouraging to know how nice the course was 2 years ago even in February. We have found that most of the 20 or so courses we have played the past 2 months here in Florida are in poor condition but they are still asking a lot of money to play.
Really tough conditions
I’ve played this course quite a few times when I’ve come to Palm Coast to visit family. Today the greens were atrocious, there was no grass on them…only compacted dirt. Rough was non existent where in the past the rough had caught wayward shots and kept them from being lost. The layout is terrific but I cannot look past the poor conditions. I hope this. Purse returns to what it was 6-7 years ago.
Greens are dirt
No grass on Greens, completely gone, Not green or green like. This reservation should come with a warning when you book, and at best charge less. I was on the green 15 o 18 holes needing only to put to have par. No possible to one put on these greens. Just a warning, no need to bring a putter, The fairways are slightly Better. I believe someone ruined the greens by mistake or worse on purpose.
But upside is no one was playing today, And I had a good Driving practice round.
Greens
The greens and fairways were the worst in the area that I have played on. No grass at all on the greens.
Sad day in the life of Pine lakes golf course
What a waste of a tremendous layout. The course was a goat track in terrible condition. It is not expensive so no big deal. I wish it was well kept because the design was amazing.
Pine Lakes
All of the green including the practice greens were badly damaged. This was not due to the recent frost / cold weather but was evidently due to lack of maintenance. It was a waste of time and money playing this course. Arnold Palmer would be ashamed to have his name associated with this course. The near loss of the greens took away from the , challenge and layout of this Arnie Palmer designed GC.
