Pine Lakes
All of the green including the practice greens were badly damaged. This was not due to the recent frost / cold weather but was evidently due to lack of maintenance. It was a waste of time and money playing this course. Arnold Palmer would be ashamed to have his name associated with this course. The near loss of the greens took away from the , challenge and layout of this Arnie Palmer designed GC.
Course condition
I have played here many times over the years and I like the layout of the course. But the condition is not what it once was. Don’t know if it’s due the time of year but there were bare spots on most fairways and not much green on the greens.
Course conditions terrible
Used to play here frequently and found the course tough but fair and in good shape.
However very disappointing now. Fairways are mostly bare and grass on the greens is nonexistent, Putting on dirt. Golf cart ran out of power on 14th hole and had to call for replacement.
Not worth the money and will not return.
WOW
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY....THE COURSE CONDITION IS A RESULT OF AN OWNER THAT DOES NOT HAVE A CLUE ABOUT GOLF...........PERIOD
Terrible green conditions
Fairways wet. Greens had no grass at all in most places. Like putting on hard dirt. Course should be offering deep discounts to get people to play. Was very surprised because course was in decent condition last year.
The greens are shot, mostly mud.
It's a shame since they just redid the greens last year. Something went wrong and they were all dead today.
Lost greens to fungus
The greens were in very bad shape. With the condition of the greens the cost of $47 was not good. Would not play here again until greens were bad to normal or cost was reduced.
Don't waste your money or time!
About a year ago the course redid the greens due to disease. I had played the course many times in the past and I went back today. Because of Covid and my comorbidities I requested my own cart. The pro made me pay an additional $11.00 even though they had virtually no other customers on the course or scheduled. He went on to say that they were getting rid of Golf Now because they were "worthless".
I paid the extra under protest and joined up with another golfer.
We both only played nine holes and walked off because of the horrible conditions. The "greens" were so diseased that all nine that we played were almost completely "black" from disease. The rest of the course was also in very poor condition.
This is an Arnold Palmer designed course and Mr. Palmer would be embarrassed about how the owners have let it run down. The course needs to be shut down and completely renovated or developed into housing.
Poor condition.....way over priced.
We have always enjoyed the layout of this course. Overall condition is ok but the greens are horrible. This course is way overpriced for current conditions. We are here for the winter.....looks like we won’t be going back.
Really poor condition
A lot of rot and bare spots on the greens. Some approach areas were completely devoid of grass. Had to look for fairway grass to hit from on the edges. More like a $20 course than a $50 course.
Disappointed
Pine Lakes used to be one of my favorites courses in northwest florida. I played there yesterday and was shocked by how much the course has deteriorated since the last time I played. The greens were awful. I don’t know if the reason for the deterioration is due to disease, financial issues or neglect but they were terrible. All the greens had huge bare spots, at least 50% or more of the putting surface was bare soil. I believe the staff should advise players the there is problem and it is being addressed. I drove for 40 minutes to play this course only to find out the conditions were terrible. I’m sorry to say that I won’t be going back until I know that whatever has caused the blight on the greens has been addressed.
