Good people
Pro shop staff us excellent. Course average shape. Palmer layout always a pleasure to play.
Decent course
Staff was great when we arrived. He listened to us and knew it our first time there and newer to the game. He set up the squads so we were not pushed along which was a great feeling for my fiance. They told us at the start the course is undergoing repairs, most of the fairways were decent, some were in very rough shape but still playable. The greens were poor though. Overall course layout wasn't too bad, it was my first Links style course and I can say I'm not a fan of seeing fairways next to me while playing. The overall course is set for an easy game than I'm used to. Oh and the pro shop could use a little more SHOP in it but the staff was spectacular.
The owners don't care!
Pace of play was excellent because no other golfers were on the course. It is clear that ownership no longer is putting money into the course. The greens are rapidly becoming no puttable. The fairways are full of weeds. The tee boxes are the worst I have ever played. There is nothing positive about the course conditions.
I have played here many times and for awhile it was looking good but not anymore.
I will not be coming back!
Great course
Would give this a solid 4 stars. Greens are a bit spotty and too many weed spots on them to be a 5 star.. However, it is a credit to their course maintenance that the greens roll true and smooth. The course throws everything at you at some point so you definitely get tested one way or the other. Great value.
Worst conditions I have ever played
The course was a total wreck. The tee boxes and greens were like average fairways. The fairways were like normal first cut if rough. The rough was overgrown. This used to be my favorite hometown course but I probably won't ever play it again. This was the worst course I have ever played on. I've hit golf balls in pastures that were in better condition than this course.
Pine Lakes
We had a wonderful day of golf. Greens were in great shape. We will play this course again.
How's in charge
Played this course many times and this time, holy crap paid $42.75 to play this course where the greens weren't mowed. And then the worst part was the fairways weren't even cut. The weeds were growing out of control. But they have time to mow the rough. And some of the greens are in bad shape. There gonna lose them if they don't get a control of them before they are gone. So the bottom line course isn't worth $42.75.
It has fallen on hard times again!
Course needs a lot of work. Tee boxes are in poor condition. Many of the greens have patches of grass growing in them.
plenty of dog legs for your scratch
weve played most public allowed courses in eastern flagler and volusia counties this covid season, about 35 rounds. this course is the most challenging. i shoot low 90 and friend low 80's, we were both at 99&89 respectively and we shot good. this course is great to play. if you wanna test your game. on a down note, the ruff was crabgrassy, the fringe was crabgrassy, the fairway was crabgrassy. finishng off on positive note greens were excellent and clubhouse superior in style
Course need work!
The fairways need a lot of work - many were not mowed, especially hole #3. The layout was good but the course really needs some TLC. Fairways are recovering from the amount of rain, but a few were still wet and had a ton of crab grass. We are glad we didn't pay more than $20 for the round. If the course gets the work it needs, we think it would be a great and challenging course! The pro shop staff was very friendly!
Great Course - Great Value
Cart path only due to continued wet conditions but an enjoyable round just the same. Hope to play it once it dries out.
Great value. Fun course to play.
Cart path only due to wet conditions but enjoyable just the same. Will return once it dries out.
Great course, horrible staff
Richard... ohh Richard. We had (what I assume was the first tee time), and you opened the doors 7 minutes prior to our tee time. Then, you proceeded to be a complete R.i.c.h.a.r.d. In every sense of the word.
The course was great. It was in pretty good shape. No cart girl. Overall had a great time.
