Sad
After having played this course a number of times earlier, this was my first time this year, and I'm still in shock. The greens are in such a bad shape that the course should not be allowed to take any one's money. And this used to be a course that was known for having some of the best greens in the area.?? The rest of the course: Fairways was not cut the last couple of days, all the bunkers was without sand, not groomed or raked in days- or weeks..
SORRY, Pine Lakes, but I will not be coming back, nor will my party.
To end on a positive note: We enjoyed the pace of play! (nobody there...)
Pine Lakes
This is an older course but a very nice layout. There had been a lot of rain the night before we played so there was some standing water but Florida this time of year this is understandable. What we were not aware of when we booked the tee time was the greens are in horrible condition. The gentleman in the pro shot advised that the greens caught some kind of fungus and they were all in really poor condition. One should have this information prior to booking the tee time. The Point Lakes staff have a lot to do to get the course in average condition because of the greens. I hope they fix it up because it is a very nice layout.
Jcc
Greens are in terrible condition. No heads up from the staff.
Wow
The worst course I’ve played in the last 15 years! Fairways are in rough shape, and no grass on the greens!
Greens need work
I really like this course. Played it many times.
The greens are a mess. They will need 6 weeks to recover according to one of the maintenance workers. He may be optimistic.
Good course. Bad Greens
I really liked the layout of the course. Quite challenging . The greens, however, were terrible very little grass left and very bumby. Almost impossibe to make a putt from any distance over 2 ft
don't waste ur money
if the owner of this course lived in New York City ,they would be slumlords....Arnold is Probably rolling over in his grave to see what his course has turned into.....DISGUSTING!!!!!!
no putting the whole round
to call them greens would be an insult to weeds. the worse greens ever. it threw game outta wack
Unputtable Greens
The greens were very bad. Putting was nearly immpossible. We like the layout, but until the greens are much improved, we will NOT return to Pine Lakes.
Someone paved the Greens
This was a great course BUT , they killed the grass on the greens ! ALL THE GREENS
Sad
Palmer courses around the country are among my favorites because of the pristine conditions. The Palmer family should sue to have his name removed from any association with this course. I was embarrassed for him. There is no excuse to run a golf course into the ground in this manner. Very sad.
These Greens....
The greens took the fun out of our round. Course layout is fun & picturesque. Fix the greens & will return.
Pine Lakes Revisited
I have played the course many times over the years. It is a good layout for play. The course at this time is not perfect, the fairways have not come in with several areas still showing some weeds. The greens are in bad shape, a lot of dirt showing and by end of round had dried and became crusty. The bermuda greens were very bare at this time, need warmer weather to fully come in.
Horrible Course Conditions
Horrible greens, dirt in sand bunkers, no rakes, horrible fairways. Just a horrible course overall. Needs serious maintenance.
Pine Lakes: Get some greens
Greens are very bad.
What little grass exists is interspersed with weeds and green dirt that’s sometimes smooth and sometimes flaky/crusty.
Layout is only pretty good since it has a lot of doglegs and quite a few par-4s requiring non-driver lay up off the tee.
What happened to this course
I have played here many times I can't believe the mess this placed was
