Good layout, greens were good, had some speed, fairways ok, ruff in transition, would play again.
Can tell at one time in its past it was better maintained and a destination course..
The course is very challenging
Play here when I can. The layout is excellent. The sand traps have sand in them which is a plus.
Crazy Fast Greens A++++
I love this course. I am a Professional Golfer and I appreciate very Firm and Fast fairways and greens. Today was just that. The tee boxes were a little suspect but who cares it’s in a freaking tee anyways. The Fairways were cut low and very firm. The Greens were sneaky fast and very firm. The greens can make you look foolish at times if you lose focus. Pine Lakes is a true hidden gem and If you want an experience that will make you talk to yourself....lol....Trust Me And GO Play it!!!!!!!!!!!
#1
We play 12 different courses in the area and we like Arnie's Pine Lakes. Best greens, layout and maintenance crew. Greens rolled consistent and were hard as a billiard table. No pitch marks, all the traps were raked and pins were placed for fast play. Love the course, keep it up.
Play here! 4 star course, quick greens.
I’m a mid handicap and play golf weekly. The course was in great shape, it’s not perfect but it’s great. The greens look slow but are not slow at all, roll really well and at least an 11, could easily be faster if it were warmer.
The course is tough layout but gettable. Requires to to use 3-wood or irons off many tees or be accurate with driver. Well worth a 5 star rating. I withhheld due to edges of the course being sparse and not manacured but never had a bad lie due to the course management.
Excellent Golf
Perfect day...greens exceptional....fairways acceptable...bunkers wet and not attended to by golfers. Pace of play was slow at times foursomes followed by two then three and another foursome. My group was the threesome until the turn when one dropped out. Overall it was a good day and round. Just had to be patient.
Nice playable course
This was a nice course. Some very interesting and challenging hole. The greens are in good condition. They were not as fast today as they were last week. Fairways and tees were Also in good condition. The golf carts can use an upgrade. They have a lot of miles on them. Tires are bald and steering can be a little loose. Staff was very friendly. I will play there again.
Wait till summer
Love the course, considered joining the league as we are locals But... my golf partner and I were started behind a foursome hitting from the red tees that was oblivious to the fact that we waited on every fairway 4 to 5 minutes to hit the really nice greens. We could see the gap in front of this group grow from 1 entire hole to 2 then 3 to the point that when the rain started it appeared that there was only 6 people on the course. This pace added 90 minutes to our round and made a much anticipated outing miserable. Im not going to suggest how to run a golf club or why some clubs treat us discount golfers like we won't come back, (we played 127 rounds last year) but the first thing I learned in golf from The King 55 years ago in Western Pennsylvania was etiquette.
Wet and slow play
Played after heavy rain two days earlier. Course does not drain well. Maybe because of this pace of play was very slow. Neither fairways or greens in good shape as of now.
Decent Course But Needs a Little More Work
Tried this course based on a recommendation from some other golfers. The staff was friendly and the practice range was pretty good.
Regarding the course conditions, the tee boxes definitely need some work, they're fairly sparse with not much grass density. They seemed level for the most part so that's a plus. The fairways were decent and it was easy to take a nice divot. Fairways could use more grass density as well to set the ball up for a nice strike. The greens putted fairly quickly which I like but were pretty brown. Probably from the lack of rain the past couple of weeks. The bunkers were in good shape, plenty of sand and they're one of the more fluffier bunkers I've played recently. Some holes required a pretty accurate shot off the tee or you were in the water, treeline or fairway bunkers.
Cart paths were all paved and well marked for finding the next hole. Overall decent course to play for the money and I'll play it again I'm sure.
Very good condition
The green were perfect
Back nine more difficult and a little wet.
