Worth the trip
A nice course to play. Can't really judge pace of play but we did the round in 3 1/2 hours. Greens were in good condition as was the overall course. Staff was friendly. It was really hot and humid. Rained for about 10 minutes during the round, and poured when we got to the car. The whole state has had a lot of rain and the course was surprisingly dry. Would got back again.
Always enjoyable
The greens are in great condition and dispositions make them a challenge.
Great
Great frack for the$$ pace was great greens good .mywife and I had great time and we will return
Bring your A game
Great shape, deceptive layout that requires golfing above the shoulders. Golfing since 1964 from south western Pennsylvania I love the Arnie course. Comparable to LPGA Hills course with bigger greens.
Really nice course forget the warm up bucket $6
I liked just about everything that matters for the course including nice tee boxes and very good greens. some very hard par 4's but it makes it challenging and rewarding. Par 3's tough also. I will come back. only negative they want to charge you $5.95 for a very small bucket of balls, I said forget it, not worth it. Hit balls at Palm Harbor right down the street and only $3
Good greens but why so slow?
The first 5 holes are kind of ho-hum but from 6 on some really interesting holes. Fairways for the most part are good, traps are ok, and the greens could be super. Have no idea why they keep them slow but as others have noted slow is the normal here I guess. It really does detract from what would could be a much better experience.
PS Nice clubhouse and bar. Very friendly staff everywhere.
good value
The course was in good shape even after two days of heavy rain. The bunkers still had water issues, but that was not a surprise . Greens was running ok.
High H2O Day
Excellent layout by" the King", have played here quite a few times but never after 5+" of rain the day before. Cart path only was the rule, but many spots the cart path was under 8 or 10" of water. By the turn it was dryer but still not drive on ready. Greens and fairways are in very good shape and you can look at each hole and envision what Arnie had in mind, as his Orlando course does, good shots are rewarded, poor ones you will pay for. Being locals we were extra careful at any of the multitude of free standing spots of water that were not normal. Our vigilance paid off at the 2nd hole where a rather large cottonmouth was resting on the edge of some new water, and again on the 18th where the cart path was under water at the elbow and guarded by a copperhead. Glad I have a 14' ball retriever! Lol
Nice course
Played in windy and wet conditions but had a great time until we were held back by slow players that did not let us pass. The greens runs good but have some spots of missing grass and/or crab grass.
Great layout
Course starts off fairly easy and gets challenging. Lots of sand. Very windy when we played. Greens have a lot of contouring and were running pretty fast. Course needs a little TLC to get it into great shape. Good value for money. It would be a real bear from back tees.
Windy
They would not turn off the wind machine. Seriously needs some work here and there but basically ok. Somewhere between three and 4 stsrs.
Good golf.
This venue is a solid value unless you are an out-of-state golfer and must pay the surcharge.
