Fun & Fair
Found this course months back. Easy drive from St. Augustine. Staff is extremely helpful and goes the extra distance to make you feel welcomed.
Normal price is fair but there are deals which brings that fair price even lower.
Play the correct tees for your game. Pull out the driver from time to time but feel it is more of target golf. Very enjoyable
Great local course
I booked this tee time at the last minute and wanted to play a new course in Palm Coast. I was more then pleased. The Staff met me at my car, loaded up the cart and had me ready to go before I could even get out of the car. The course was in good condition and played fair. The bunkers played very well and greens were fast. This was a great value. I'll be back. Thank You.
Challenging layout
For your average golfer this is a difficult layout. You really need to be a long hitter and able to drive the ball over strategically placed bunkers on many holes to have a reasonable distance approach shot. Course is almost always windy in the afternoon. The greens are plateaued in the front making it difficult to run balls onto greens and undulating with lots of subtle breaks. There are not many easy tee shots or approach shots. The fairways are somewhat generous but the lies are tight even in the "rough".
Nice course - unfriendly management
Played this course this week and really enjoyed it but find management to be very unfriendly. Management has a policy that players that prepay utilizing golf 18 or golf now must not tee off before the scheduled tee time regardless of the current situation. On the day I played there were less than 10 cars in the lot and nobody was on the course. When we went to the tee box 5 minutes before our tee time we were berated by management and forbidden to tee off until our tee time. Considering that no one had teed off for at least 45 minutes we thought this to be redicules. Management obviously did not value our business. I really find this odd.
Challenging course
This course is in very good shape given the drought we have experienced this year. The greens were a little bumpy but other wise very puttable. The wind was blowing about 20kts which made some of the longer holes even longer. With that and the friendly management, I would recommend this course.
Best course around Palm Coast area
This course is in great shape!!! I've seen some reviews on here that say otherwise. I would say they are from other courses who are looking to make a name for themselves. The greens are perfect. Held every shot I through at them. One shot from 200 yards with a 5 hybrid stay on its ball mark. Fairways are great and the tee boxes couldn't be better. Hats off the maintenance crew.
Very difficult to find some of the next tees. Lack of signs to show where the next tee is. Course has no overseed for winter months.
Layout and greens
Nice public course. Playable from many tees. Greens are vey quick. Fairways okay to good. You can lose a few balls if you spray it a little.
Good course layout.
I give this course an 8 out of 10. There were a few greens that had some bad areas. There were a few fairways that had very tight lies. The greens also were fairly fast which I like. The course has some very deceiving holes that you can get into trouble on. Having GPS that shows the hole is a great help. The course plays very wide on most holes. I like the lay. I will play there again.
the skeleton is there but no met on the bones
Nice people but clear ownership is only interested in a low cost; low value; high volume operation. Course is not in good condition. Tees are very poor; fairways bald; and greens are super short and have chemical burns on many.Really too bad as this could be a great track...tons of character...if ownership could invest some money and hire a top notch greenskeeper. Course attracts some real hackers ( allure of low greens fees) and has no marshall so pace of play can be agonizingly slow at peak times.
Back nine has very nice layout......tho lacking in grass overall and despite some patchy areas, it is very playable.
Winter golf
Give this course a try. We played first of March and winter conditions were still evident. But enjoyed.
